Aloha to you all and welcome to my first ever attempt at a Pre Trip Report
Let me begin by explaining my PTR title.
DH & I have been home
(thats Disneyworld to you and me) over 14 times in 9 years. With each trip comes the issue of who is going with us. The options are usually, family friends, neighbours, the budgie from 2 doors down you catch my drift!!!!
In fact in ALL of our trips we have only managed to go alone just TWICE

A couple as a couple
AND ITS HARD WORK!!!!
So this trip is all about being alone and together at Home
We wanted to spend time together without asking a group what do you all want to do or where do you want to eat tonight. We wanted to lay in together without keeping people waiting. We want to stroll around the parks soaking it up rather then rushing from one ride to another. We want to sip alcoholic beverages in Epcot at 12pm without being judged (well I do anyway)

So it was time to ditch the others and go it alone!
The first time we went it alone was 9 years ago. We were young and in love (so much has changed
) DH had not been before and was desperate to go. So when we were thinking of where to go on holiday there really only was one option! Orlando! Now because we were young, penniless and clueless (now we are older, penniless but no longer clueless thanks to the DIS!) we booked a 2 week package through Virgin Holidays and stayed at the AWFUL Howard Johnson I-Drive hotel. FYI this hotel no longer exists it shouldnt have existed when we stayed there, but only slept there as spent all day every day at the parks!!!!
The second time we went alone the trip ended up costing us $18,000.00

Yep, thats right, $18,000.00.
We had stayed on site renting a fellow DVCers points. We saw, we slept, we liked, we bought!!!! We were lured to a DVC presentation and it was an easy sell. As we were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary on that trip we decided to buy each other an anniversary present! 160 DVC points.
Now dont judge me for the next part.
For some reason we decided NOT to tell family and friends about this purchase.
They still dont know - its our dirty little secret.
I am afraid that once they know they will all be wanting to come away with us again!! But DH & I have agreed that DVC is EXCLUSIVLY for us. We will NOT be sharing it with anyone else. Selfish? Yes but this way we will always make time to have a trip alone, just the 2 of us without anyone else tagging along!!!
Having just returned from a mammoth 3 week long group trip (OFF-SITE
) we were itching to go back and utilise our anniversary gift! So we decided a quick trip over in September was in order. We only had a week left where we could both get the same time off work so 26th Sept became the decided date and the planning began!
Now, for the cast (this bit wont take long)
Me Ariel Rocks, AKA Caz
. Chose user name because I love Ariel (And Prince Eric), late 20's ish, loves trip planning; love the DIS, and ALL things Disney
DH Nottingham on the boards, AKA John
. He chose his user name as he is an avid Nottingham Forest supporter, 38, Loves Disney too but leaves all booking, planning, organising etc to me!
Together we are an awesome team he says what he wants to do and I make it happen!

Split stay this trip ..
3 nights Saratoga Springs
2 nights Bay Lake Tower
2 nights Villas @ Wilderness Lodge
Flights ..
Waiting till last min for a cheapo charter with Thomson/First Choice/Thomas Cook etc etc

Mickeys not so scary Halloween party
Food and Wine Festival
Around the world at Epcot tour
Places to eat
Le Cellier Love it here
Trails End and here
Beaches & Cream and here
Chef De France and here
Everything Pop (dont ask me why I just wanna try it!)
Apart from those things we are gonna wing it. Its only a week and we, sorry, I am already planning 2 weeks for the 2 of us next September as well!
Will update again once I am at the ADR stage 27th June for me!
