O'Hana lovers question

We are considering O'hanas on our next trip. I know that it is family-style and I have looked at the menu on Deb's unofficial site, but is that all that they serve -- the kabobs, salad, a vegetable, and rice? :confused3

They bring a lazy susan which has an assortment of vegetables, rice, salads, wontons, etc. Then the bring the skewered chicken, shrimp, pork, and beef. They'll refill anything you'd like. Everytime we've been there everyone in our group has been satisfied. They'll also offer kid menu items to the kids if the kids aren't interested in the standard fare. Finally, for desert they bring fresh pineapple with caramel sauce.....additional desert options are available at additional cost. We love it!

It's really awesome. We had so much fun and loved the food.

Don't forget all those great Irish dishes they serve (with a name like O'hanas what else would you expect?) ;)

Thanks so much for all of your help! It certainly sounds better now.

the appetizers are:
salad with honey lime dressing
wontons (shrimp and vegetable last we went)
coriander chicken wings (fabulous!)
crisp green beans
fried rice (you can request plain)
and
three dipping sauces

the skewers are:
marinated turkey
steak
pork
blackened shrimp (even more fabulous!)

and the pineapple with caramel dip (if you have room)

And get the pina colada! It's the best I've ever had!

I have a question.

We are a party of two, would they sit us with another family, or do we get our own table?

You get your own table!! They have several tables that are for larger parties, they have window view tables, and the windows all face the castle!! Awesome!!

You would have your own table. There were several parties of two at smaller individual tables when we were there last month.

Don't forget the yummy pineapple sweet bread they bring out before the appetizers! Yummy! :earboy2:

Do you have any reviews about Ohana's breakfast? I made a breakfast PS, but now am wondering if I should change to dinner?

How difficult is it to get a window table? Can you request one?

Not all windows see the castle, you have to specifically request a Wishes view. My best advice is to make your PS an hour or more before Wishes, and arrive early to request it at check-in and be prepared to possibly wait, since many people like to have the view as well ;) It's not a guarantee, but nice if you can snag it. If you don't get one, you are welcome to walk around to where you can see it when it starts, or you can eat earlier or later and watch it from the Poly beach instead.

This will be our first trip to Ohana's also and you guys have really made it sound yummier than we had all ready thought.

I requested a window table when I made the ps and they suggested that we get there 30-45 minutes early and request it then.

Good Luck, I hope we both enjoy our first trip to Ohana's. . . Cousin.

I've gone twice- once with 2 girl friends and once with my boyfriend. Got an awesome window seat BOTH times AND I never even asked! I love Ohana!

I made PS at Ohanas for the first time for our upcoming trip... I must say reading about it I can't wait! This website really made me know I can't miss it any longer!

I've decided this is where we will eat the night of my birthday in December!! Hopefully we can get a window seat and see Wishes
