'Ohana is the last elusive ADR that I just can't land

I think the ohana reservation is messed up. Yesterday, out of curiosity, I checked date from 10/1 - 10/30, from 10/12 - 10/30 there's reservation open for every day, nothing from 10/1 - 10/12. couple of days ago, I did same thing, nothing was available. then at night time when I checked again, nothing available again!!!!!

There must be some "consipiracy" behind the reservation system. it's impossible people cancel from 10/12 - 10/30 at exact same time(for just that short afternoon). And if you check from september to December, nothing is available even non free dining period. That's impossible for a restarurant to be booked full everyday.

Has anyone tried walk up recently?

Same here been trying for Ohana or Chef Mickeys since we are staying at the Contemporary and get nothing but 9:30 at night fro 10/1 thorugh 10/9 with kids and grandparents that is way too late keep checking hoping dsomething comes up for a party of 6

I am so glad I saw this. I have been trying for three days without any luck. Maybe something will change before Jan.

Can hotel guest walk up? I heard chef mickey's hotel guests can walk up.

Sadly, you're just out of luck right now. There are no 'Ohana reservations for dinner during that time period in the system.

A CM generously offered to look deeper into it, and there are no reservations made, as in nothing was released in the system.

There are breakfasts to be had, but no 'Ohana dinners between 1/2/11 and 2/1/11 (might be 2/2/11 - I don't remember the exact date that they opened up again)

(A few years ago they did a renovation during the evenings only in January - I am wondering if this is another case like that. I'll be watching and waiting for more news about it right along side of you)

I also booked it on the 5th and the 16th for by brother's family and friends of theirs who will be going at roughly the same time as us.
But to get that I had to stalk the Disney site as like everyone else back when the January dates opened I got everything else I wanted but 'Ohana didn't seem to be loaded into the system.

Then one day the January dates were there and I booked but now once again there is nothing showing for dinner in January at 'Ohana as available other than January 1st just like before.

I know it started off locked when we could first make reservations and then one day it suddenly opened. I remember watching that thread because I knew I was going to try for a reservation late in my vacation.

So yes, it definitely was open for a few days for the first half of January, but now it locked everything out again. It used to have tons of availability on the first half of my vacation, but nothing starting the 26th. Then one day it was all locked out again for the whole month. I agree it's very weird indeed!!

I did get confirmation form a CM that it is closing for dinner some nights (17th - 19th) but I am now wondering if it's closing for more.

This (January) is definitely a system issue. 'Ohana is popular, but January isn't that busy and there is no way that it'd be fully booked every day for a month due to actually being full of diners.

Okay well Stitch Kingdom lists that 'Ohana's is going through rennovations from January 17 to the 20th...

So perhaps, they are waiting a bit until the open reservations for the few days following? At least there's some sort of explanation now...
