We have dinner reservations at 5:15 at Ohana, is it unrealistic to think that we will be able to make it for Main Street Electrical Parade that starts at 7?

You could easily run late for the parade.

Ohana is known to be a slower seating, serving restaurant.
It easily can be a 2 hour place. Haven't gotten out of there in under an hour and half.

The only thing you have going for you is it is right after they open, so they "shouldn't" be behind...but again, they aren't known for being fast.

So if the parade is a "must" then you may want to rethink which is most important or switch the adr to another day or the parade viewing.

Oh, one other thing, if you are running even close it will be very hard to find a good spot to view the parade, as by the time you can get there you may be 4 or 5 people deep to view it.

Thanks, thats what I was thinking. When we went last year we were easily there for 2 hours, but I was hoping that wasn't typical.

Sorry it is typical for Ohana. At least it has been our experience. Also my niece's experience.
We always plan for a late night when dining at Ohana and no where to be afterwards.

I'm actually curious about this... my situation is similar yet different restaurant. Also wanting to see SpectroMagic at 7pm and reservations at 5:05 pm Kona Cafe(1st timer). Do-able or find an alternative?

they aren't showing SpectroMagic...it's the Main Street Electrical Parade;) but you should have plenty of time...enjoy your dinner

I think you will be fine...check in early, and as soon as your server comes to your table let them know you would like to be done by say 6:30, then you can take monorail to MK and watch the parade! enjoy!
while we like to take our time, I have heard many complain that they felt rushed so I don't think it will be a problem if you ask:thumbsup2

I agree. This could work, since you do have an early seating so hopefully they won't have much of a chance to get too backed up yet, and let your server know. I think you could make it, but may not have the best viewing spot for the parade.

We have just come back and it was super busy on Wednesday parade night. As it is 'new' and therefore a must do for alot of people and as it was only on a couple of times a week due to the MNSSHP. Imagine it will be the same with the MVMCP.

We ate at 5pm at GF then got boat accross - I guess we arrived 6.30 for 8pm parade. Already alot of spots were gone. Even disabled area was full and turning people away maybe an hour before parade.

Can you see parade a differnt night or move ohana?
