What do you think? we are staying at the poly for 5 out of 12 nights for HM stay. Should we do it?? Gets so many mixed reviews....:confused3

Hellya Ohana is awesome. When I was last there a whole wedding party was there eating. Like 30 people and they seemed to love it too. Have a fun honeymoon and a great disney trip...

Almost every WDW restaurant will get mixed reviews. If the menu seems appealing, then give it a try. FWIW, Ohana is one of our favorites - love the polynesian atmosphere & good food.

It's very loud, and always crowded. Me personally, I'd rather go somewhere less crowded, say Artist Point maybe? The food at Ohana is good, not great...I'm just not a fan. We did it and I doubt we'll go back.

I guess it depends on the rest of your dining plans. If you're already planning several romantic dinners for two in other restaurants Ohana may be a change of pace for you. It will be loud and active. For a quieter, more intimate dinner I'd go with Artist's Point, Cirtrico's, or Narcoosee's.

Considering you are staying 12 nights and if you are dining one TS per day I would say try Ohana. It use to be one of our favorites many years ago and is no longer on our list due to the overall experience (food prep and service). We consider it sort of a tourist trap feeding off its location, dining plans, theme and family style dining. Service is usually its main downfall along with the preparation and availability of the meat choices. Ohana is a hit or miss experience...sort of like a roulette wheel. If you have never dined here before you may actually have a great time.

I would inform the Ohana host that it is your honeymoon and would wait for a table in the main area (side with the grill). Other areas do not provide the same experience.

Go for it. It's a fun place and has good food. It is a little noisy but if it's just two people they usually put you out of the way along the windows instead of in the middle of it all. DH and I have no children and love going there whenever we can.

My wife and I ate at Ohana during our honeymoon this past April 2009. It was great. We scheduled an ADR for a time we could see Wishes. They put us at a great table in front of the glass to see the fireworks. Also the entertainer, Kaleo sang me and my wife the Hawaiian Wedding song when we told him that we were celebrating our honeymoon.

Yes, if it is just one of your meals. No, if you are looking for something romantic. O'hana is a great restaurant, but it is much more family oriented. If you are looking for something romantic, try the Calafornia Grill during Wishes.

WE love Ohanas it is lots of fun and the food is great. If you are looking for fun go ahead and go if you are looking for a romantic dinner go somewhere else. We like it so much that we are going there after my daughter gets married on disney property.
