I haven't tried Ohana yet and am interested in doing so on my next trip. My son will be 2 and we will also have an infant. I know Ohana has entertainment of some sort. What is it and does it occur at certain times? Would a 2 yr old be old enough to enjoy it and/or participate? Also, how is seating? Do you sit with other families like at Biergarten or are the tables individual? Thanks for any info!

They do a parade around the restaurant (you will have to go with them at their age) and give them a flower lei to wear. They DO NOT have a kids menu. My DD was 5 the last time we tried and she loves chicken, noodles and broccoli but wouldn't touch anything but the desert at Ohana. The chicken was too "charred", broccoli too spicy, noodles too sweet. I did get her to eat a few bites of the chicken after I magically removed the crispy part. We enjoy Kona Café much better as a family.

They do have "kid" food (nuggets, etc)

yup, my kiddo wouldn't touch the potstickers/noodles/veggies so they happily brought him a big bowl of mac and cheese to have on the side with his meats (he did love the steak). Definitely kid friendly in that regard. He also LOVED the kid dessert - it was a brownie cupcake with marshmallow topping and m&ms sprinkled on it... also tried some of my bread pudding and liked it too. Agree that the little ones are too little for the activities, but it is still a festive atmosphere.

My DS first ate at O'hana when he was 1 and we had a great experience. I just took him up with me to do the limbo and other activities.

Kid friendly food upon request, last time we were there they brought my DS and niece a big plate of chicken nuggets and fries.

Then I'm extremely disappointed that in 3 visits with our DD, and after specifically asking for an alternative we were told no kid menu each time.

That stinks! We asked each time and the kid was usually given chicken nuggets and fries. One time they brought him a hot dog with fries and mac and cheese.
