We are comparing a few character breakfast options, the reviews on Ohana seem quite mixed. Looking for honest opinions and fully realize that we don't expect much as far as the food at the character breakfasts.

It's like getting a bounty platter at a value resort but with characters and POG juice. That said, the restaurant itself is quite beautiful, and I certainly wouldn't say no to going if I was with people who like the Lilo and Stitch characters. But it's not a must do or something I'd go out of my way to do otherwise.

AYCTE...ham, eggs, potatoes, waffles, fresh fruit. Character interactions are good. We like it and usually eat there on our checkout day when staying close by. We book for 10:30 or 11:00 and treat it like brunch to use it for two meals for the day so the price doesn't seem quite as bad. But I don't consider it a value... it's a splurge that our family enjoys.

This exactly. The food was so salty the last time we ate there I could barely eat it. Never again.

You said “this exactly” in response to someone who said they wouldn’t say no, but then said “never again.” Which is it?

If you like the character offering and are okay with a similar meal as the QS platters, it isn’t terrible. Our family also uses it as two meals by getting the last seating time.

We went this past Saturday. The food was ok. I went for the characters and was very disappointed. We were there for over an hour and only saw 2 characters, Lilo and Pluto. I don’t plan on going back.

We went in October and the food was good and fresh (and not overly salty). We went because my daughter is a huge Stitch fan. So for that, it was worth the money. But it wouldn’t be a top choice for food alone.

I noticed the last reservations are for around noon. Since the restaurant is closed for lunch, do they try to rush you out if you have an 11:30 or noon reservation? Is the food better/fresher earlier vs later?

We went for a late breakfast this summer and it was our most disappointing meal of the trip.
We mostly booked it because our kids are huge stitch fans, we knew beforehand about the menu so we were not surprised or disappointed about the food. But the character interaction was disappointing. Stitch came to our table just to take a picture and sign the autograph books, and then quickly went to another table even if the kids were trying to interact with him.
Service was also very average (we had to request the fruit that she forgot to bring, our drinks came 10-15 min after the food, and we waited forever for the check - so even though all the character interactions felt very rushed it was our longest meal of the trip)
We are glad we did it but won’t be going again unless something changes 🤷‍♀️

The last time I was there was October of 2023. It was pricey but all of the character meals are. Even my picky eater is willing to go back again when are there in 10 days.

We did a ton of character meals on our last trip and this was in the middle of the pack. Our food was good but not extraordinary (the basic eggs/meat/waffles/fruit with some tasty Island-inspired bread) plus the famous POG juice. I think the reason the food is average is it's likely prepared elsewhere in bulk and kept warm.

Our ADR was at 9:00 and therefore we didn't wait long to be seated. We had an excellent server that got us extra grapes to take with us for our one-year-old. My older daughter was dressed as Lilo so perhaps that influenced our experience, but we had great experiences with the characters. I'd do it again for the characters if my daughters were interested, but I'm excited to go to the 1900 Park Fare breakfast on our upcoming trip as they have better food. (We haven't tried the breakfast there yet, but the menu looks great and our dinner there was excellent.)

I'd say if you're interested in the characters, go for it!

Went last month and it was a great experience. Just myself and best friend with no kids. They sat us next to window with view of pool. Food was same as most character breakfasts. Ham was salty and eggs were runny but rest of food was good. I preferred Boma buffet but it doesn’t have characters. I’m a huge Stitch fan. Stitch, Lilo, Pluto, and Mickey all stopped by our table and my friend and I got up and took pics with each character. They did a fun conga line through the restaurant a couple times. Was a relaxing meal.

My 5-year-old granddaughter spent the entire time beaming so I never really paid attention to the food. I can tell you we never get the value of an all you can eat service because I am the only one that can eat seconds.

We are going back again this year because my now 6-year-old granddaughter has it on her list of selections.

When we are booking character breakfasts we tend to lean towards character buffets. We appreciate there’s a much better selection at buffets than at family style places like ‘Ohana. We enjoy ‘Ohana and would revisit if we wanted to see Stitch etc, but otherwise lean towards buffets like Chef Mickey’s and Cape May Cafe.
