Hello everyone! My family and I will be visiting WDW for the first time in February 2019. THe planning is VERY overwhelming, so I am very happy I found this board.

We have breakfast reservations at Ohana, but want to visit Epcot after breakfast. We are staying at one of the Disney Springs hotels. What is the best way to get to breakfast, then to Epcot, and back to the hotel?

Hi @HMG1984, :welcome: to the DIS!

I have moved your post to the Transportation board. The fine folks here will be able to help you out.

Happy Planning.

I would uber over to the Polynesian and then take the monorail to Epcot. Are you staying at one of the hotels that has resort shuttle? You can take that back to your hotel, or just uber.

To add to this, from Ohana, walk through the Poly to the TTC to get the Epcot monorail. It will take much more time to take the resort monorail to the TTC, it will make stops at GF, MK, Contemporary before getting to TTC.

I would drive to TTC, park in their lot, walk to the Poly, have breakfast, walk back to TTC and monorail to Epcot. When you're done, monorail back to TTC to get in your car.

Also check the time of the first bus to MK for that day. The bus actually goes to TTC. From there, it's a 10 minute walk or short monorail ride to Poly. Allow about 15 minutes of slack time, in case the bus is late or picks up at other hotels after yours.

Newbie ? - what does TTC stand for?

Our hotel does have a shuttle to the parks, but we are unsure if we need/want to rent a car yet.

TTC is the transportation and ticket center. It is the hub where all of the cars for MK are parked and it is also where the Monorail is. So if you take an Uber lets say, to the Poly, then you can walk to the TTC and catch the Epcot monorail from there. I would really think that this would be the easiest if you plan on taking the shuttles to the parks and only need this one time transportation to a resort from your hotel. If you rent a car, then you would drive to the Poly, eat your breakfast and then drive to Epcot. You will not be able to keep your car at the Poly all day while you are at the parks.

I agree it doesn't make sense to have a car for just this trip. But if I had one anyway, I would still park at TTC. Then I don't have to worry about moving the car AND get to experience the monorail (if it hasn't been done).

I was just thinking about the end of the night, how I would hate to have to go all the way back to the TTC to get my car.

The monorail ride from Epcot to the TTC is quick and pretty stress free. It shouldn't be too crowded at the end of the day, either, because only people who parked at the TTC or are staying at the MK resorts will be taking it.
Look to see if parking at the TTC ($25 I believe) is any cheaper than 2 uber rides would be.

It's more of a personal perception thing really. :P My car is right there at EPCOT.

This is my recommendation:

1. Uber from your Disney Springs hotel directly to Poly for Ohana breakfast
2. After Ohana breakfast, walk over to TTC (next to Poly) and take monorail to Epcot
3. At end of the night when you leave Epcot you can use your Disney Springs hotel transportation service at Epcot to get back to your resort

IMO this would be the best and car-free way to do it.

Are you planning to Uber from the airport to your resort? Because Disney Springs hotels do not have a shuttle to/from the airport.

Thank you all for your input! I think we've decided to rent a car....we got a pretty good deal....so a-driving we will go! ;)
