Was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit about it....

Is it a breakfast buffet, ala carte, etc.?

What foods are served?

What characters visit?

I would love, love, love pics if you have them- food, atmosphere, characters....

THANKS everyone! :flower3:

Was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit about it....

Is it a breakfast buffet, ala carte, etc.? Family Style all you can eat. They bring you platters of food for your table to share.

What foods are served? Bread/pastry, fresh fruit, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, mickey waffles.

What characters visit? Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, Pluto

I would love, love, love pics if you have them- food, atmosphere, characters.... I do, I'll have to find them... :rotfl:
THANKS everyone! :flower3:

It's one of my favorites, more relaxed than a buffet to me.

It is our absolute favorite and a must do each year for us! We love that it is family style and they bring everything to you. No back and forth to the buffet, trying to time it right to also see the characters. The food is delicious and plentiful. The characters have always been great and we have gottten lots of pictures with them.
Here is a picture of my oldest and my youngest 2 years ago on my oldest's bday.

I highly recommend this! We go everytime!
It's standard breakfast fare (eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fruit, mickey waffles), and it's served family style. Everything is really good, and if you run out or want more of anything, just ask! It is much more relaxed than a buffet style character meal.

Now I'm excited we are going there this trip, we've never been it looks like so much fun. I just found out on another post the Mickey and Pluto are there too, I didn't know that!

it's our favorite place. The service is table service, no buffet, family style. The sausages are awesome, as well as the eggs. I love the coffee, it's Kona Coffee, it will keep you going all day.

The characters are Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, Pluto, Donald and I believe Minnie. The kids get to interact with them even before they come to visit you at the table. They do a giant conga line with the characters. You will love, it we are doing it again in Oct., for my dd's 7th b-day

The BEST feature of O'hana's breakfast is that its served family style! I hate buffets because I spend the entire meal getting up and down and never really enjoy my food.

At Ohana's the food's great and all you care to eat. Fresh pineapple and yummy bread. And I don't know what they put in those eggs but yum! The atmosphere is fun! Its a must do for us.

DITTO "Favorite Character Breakfast" :thumbsup2

we've gone every year, and will be going back this year. we've eaten at many, many disney restaurants and this is the only one we keep coming back to. dd requested it for her 9th birthday meal (she could choose anywhere in WDW) and now this upcoming trip will be ds's 9th birthday and he has also requested it as his meal. :goodvibes

the food is really good. they have mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits, some yummy breads, and fruit. my kids love the guava juice "that stitch makes."

the character interaction is also great and they spend plenty of time with you.

3 out of our 4 visits, we had a table near the window and had an absolutely gorgeous view.

we usually schedule it as a very late breakfast and skip lunch. :thumbsup2 you'll leave VERY full!

my son has become a HUGE stitch fan in the past couple of months so we added this one to our trip. It will be a first for us as before it never appealed to us, but now it does. I can't wait, b/c i hear it is so much fun.

Pluto, Mickey, Lilo, and Stitch were great! Loved their hawaiian shirts. Great photos and autographs (books and Tshirts). We were here twice for breakfast in 2009 and definitely visiting again next trip.

I can't remember if they gave out hawaiian leis at Ohana but you can ask for them at the resort check-in desk on the first floor. Also, on the first floor... check out the gift shop, you'll find some Lilo and Stitch stuff for kids that is neat.

The food was delicious... mostly the usual breakfast foods (eggs, sausage, potatos, etc.) but all very good. The fresh warm pinapple-coconut and cinnamon raisin bread were out of this world delicious. Service excellent.

when we went it was terrible yes the family style food was good, but we only saw mickey/pluto for 30 seconds tops and then we had to wait 20 minutes after our food was done to see lilo and stitch for about 15 seconds each very rushed and actually a little mean to my DD. Chef mickeys was soooo much better!

We went for the first time last December and loved it. I was worried we'd be disappointed having fewer food options than at the buffets, but that wasn't a problem at all. We all loved the food as it was some of the best we had on our entire trip - hot, fresh, and cooked perfectly. You can also get more of anything you'd like. Character interaction was good, but I wouldn't call it great. Our youngest got a big kick out of doing the parades with them though.

This is definitely a "must do again" for our family. It was one of everyone's favorite meals.

The only downside to it was that the lobby seemed nutty-busy and we had to wait FOREVER after the meal for a bus to the park. We laughed because we always assumed staying at one of the deluxes would get you the perk of better bus service - but no way. There were SO many people waiting for buses and people were just cramming themselves in so tight when they'd finally come. I don't know if it was just a flukey morning or what, but next time we will definitely take that into consideration when we do our planning.

(As an aside, another "must do again" for us turned out to be Cape May Cafe's character breakfast. We had a very early morning reservation and everything about the meal was perfect. We all absolutely loved it, and then we got to enjoy the nice leisurely boat ride over to Epcot.)

Ohana's is our favorite breakfast. The food is delish and the characters are awesome. They spent lots of time with our kids and Pluto lay on the floor for DS to rub his belly!

So glad to read the good reviews on the character breakfast. I just booked an ADR for our upcoming trip, and looking forward to trying it out!

We ate here on our last day of our trip. We loved it! The juice was very good too. The kids all had a parade and the characters took a lot of time at our table.
