I have a 7:05 ADR for Ohana and wishes starts at 8pm. Will we be able to see them from Ohana's? Is there an easy access balcony nearby that we would be allowed to watch from even if we are not finished with our meal? Since I highly doubt we will be able to be seated and finish eating before the fireworks start.

We have an ADR tonight at 7:00, so I'd be able to answer better later, but I do have some basic info. I never count on being seated on time at Ohana, so you may not start eating at 7:05 anyway. When Wishes starts, they will dim the lights and they pipe the music in, but I'm not particularly fond of the view from the Poly, and the speakers aren't so great in the restaurant. We happened to be seated near a window last time, so it was easy to see, but I don't know how good the view is farther inside the restaurant.

I don't think there is a balcony on the Great Ceremonial House.

Kayla hit the nail on the head here. If you are not seated at a window facing the MK, it can be very difficult to see the fireworks. If you are seated further back in the restaurant you will have a very limited view. The last time we were there we were fortunate to sit by a window and had a good view.

Hi,
I agree with preivous posters. I never plan on being seated at my ADR time at 'OHana. So you will likely be seated later. If you are seated right at the windows, it is a decent view. When we were there I did not notice the soundtrack, so I wonder if it was just very quiet or if they didn't have it that evening. If you are not right at the window the view is not so good. I saw folks from inside the restaurant crowding the tables near the window while these folks were trying to eat their meal. It was very rude IMHO.
I think watching Wishes from the beach at the Poly is a better experience. Obviously the best view is IN the MK.
Have a Great Trip

Well we will see Spectro and wishes 2 other nights but since this night was our last i thought it would be nice to see a last fireworks show. I wont be upset if we miss it just thought it would be a nice parting memory

I should have updated a few days ago, but I'll give you a little more detailed info based on our experience Friday night.

We arrived at 6:45, 15 minutes before our ADR. We did wait a little, but we were seated at our ADR time or a little before, I'm not sure exactly. We were seated not far from a window, but the castle was nowhere in sight. (It was also extremely foggy Friday night but I don't think that was the issue.) We are pretty efficient eaters, and our cousin started our meats a little early, so we were doing pretty well to be done with our meal before 8:00 Wishes. But then it took forever to get our dessert and I was literally picking up my purse to leave as they started the Wishes music. I didn't notice them dim the lights though, but they may have done that after we walked out.

My advice in this situation (not only for the OP but anyone else who reads this) - get to your ADR early, and tell your cousin you'd like to leave in time to see Wishes at the beach (say...7:50?). Otherwise, sit back, relax, and enjoy the Wishes music as a select few people by the window ooh and aah. :thumbsup2

We had a 7:05 ressie on 1/6 and were running a little late (as we did for most of our ressies) but they still sat us after about a 5-10 minute wait. We were fortunate to get a table with a MK view (not that we could really tell since it was dark at the time though.) When Wishes started they dimmed the lights and we had a very nice view of the fireworks from our table. There was some blockage by the trees, but it was still nice to see what we did while still enjoying our dinner. We had already seen the fireworks twice by that time so we knew we weren't missing anything by not seeing the full show.
