Looking back at our building, our balcony was the first one above the patio.

Funny thing about those rockers. I took DD12 for a walk and wound up there in time to take those sunset photos of CIF. A couple was already there and we started chatting. The man looked familiar so I asked where they were from. Turns out they were from our tiny church of 300 people in the Chicago area that we moved away from 13 years ago!!!! Can you believe that?? Once we got to talking, we recognized each other and got all caught up on the news, births, deaths, weddings, etc. They were staying in the building next door and we did see them a couple more times that week, too. We almost always see someone we know, but this has got to be the most obscure run in!!

Tomorrowland is still a family favorite. However, I seem to stand alone as a fan of CP. :confused3 I love that attraction! Sigh. :goodvibes

Awww. I would see it with you. I love it, too! My family's like that with the Great Movie Ride. I'm the only one who likes it. I had to ride it by myself the last time we were there.

Love your photos. We'll be making our first trip home next December and I cannot wait. SSR is lovely. :thumbsup2

Loving your report so far. SSR is our first home resort and your pictures are making me miss it very much. We will be back there in March for a stay.

I would like to comment on your son driving alone for the first time. Been there with my oldest daughter. Man did I start getting the gray hair then! ;) I was always a nervous wreck until she got home. She started driving by herself when she was 15. Yes, here were we live you can get a school permit to drive only to school and back home when you are 15 and have done driver's ed, and everything. She is now 17 and does a very good job. It is a very scary thing for us mom's. I must say though that the worry never goes away (at least for me it doesn't). But she does fine and so far no problems. And I hate to say but we are now working on daughter #2 driving. :scared1:

Can't wait to see more of your trip. And I must say, you have a beautiful family! Thanks for sharing. :flower3:

Thanks! And welcome aboard!

Week one is still going fine with the new driver. They had early dismissal yesterday so he was able to go to lunch with friends and go back to school to play tennis and then visit another friend's house and then drive himself over to my mom's for dinner and to cut her grass. He's having a lot of fun with the freedom. I do not think there will be many days like that...I can't concentrate on anything with him driving all over the place all afternoon!!! We plan to keep it to school and essential things, not so much running around. But, every successful day builds more confidence in all of us and is more experience for him.

Loving your updates!! I am so happy all had fun and returned home safely! :goodvibes

I leave in 1 day, 13.5 hours!

Keep the pictures coming! And tell your son I promise not to be one of those PoC'ers who use their flash! I'm with HIM! :thumbsup2
