Judy, hope your family has a wonderful weekend together enjoying some family time. My kids have been back to school for a few weeks and I am looking forward to sleeping in for 3 whole days instead of getting them out of bed so early. They pushed back the start time this year to 7:40, so we have been leaving the house at 7 to allow for rush hour traffic for the 12 miles to school. Ezra is still usually sleeping at 6:30; I hate to wake him up, he's so exhausted from going full-day this year, but that means we are usually rushing out the door still shoving breakfast at him. He even got dressed after we got to school the other day because he slept so late and was so pokey finishing his food that he was still in his pajamas when we had to leave!

Happy Sunday to all of you!!!! You are wonderful to still visit in spite of my absence.

Since August 1 I have escorted children to SEVENTY FOUR appts (MDs, specialists, therapy, ultrasounds, dopplers, surgical consult, dental, orthodontics, etc, etc, etc,). Add in the children’s regular fun activities (not included in the count above)...and one vehicle for Pete and I. Add to that my computer has been down since August 7 and that pretty much covers where I have been. I lost a ton of pics in the computer fiasco, in spite of backing everything up, I will not discuss that, it is sad. I still have a lot.

David failed his audiology exam at his well "child" physical. Thankfully, Friday we had good news he was okay. It also revealed a hernia that needs repair "soon". David has known he had a problem since the end of last year!!! I found out Monday. We saw the surgeon on Thursday he has referred us to someone else for a second opinion (surgeon's idea, not mine).

The girls performed last Friday night at an Open Mic Night where you have to enter the lottery to perform there are so many entertainers who want to share their acts. This time there were over 100 entries and both Rachel and Lisa were picked as one of the twenty acts. This is Lisa's video (we haven't shared Rachel's yet). Lisa wrote this song, it is about how sad feelings can hold you captive and how she broke free from that bondage. Keep in mind she is only 11 and has only been playing piano for 5 months. FINDING MY LIFE.

I will have some trip news on Tuesday if there is anyone still reading along that hasn't joined me on Facebook. Yes, I took the plunge with all of the computer problems, it is easier to navigate/post. Plus I can control who sees what....more importantly I KNOW who is reading. I also needed it for communication for a show Lisa was in. Feel free to friend me, I am really bad at finding people.

Rachel, I am truly sorry to read about your friend, Hugs and Prayers!!

Many of you have started back to school and there are many challenges that I am keeping in prayer for you.

I had a long response typed up to those who left messages and my computer went poof, Arrgh!! Forgive me for not calling out to each of you individually. I feel so blessed you are still in our lives and haven't abandoned us, I hope you know that!!

I can't wait to hear your trip news! I am longing for Disney right now. I am no boat person but a cruise even sounds good right now. (yeah that would take a miracle to get me on! But still it sounds good. So I will live my Disney through your news if that is ok

Oh Tonya, I wish you had a trip to look forward to, It does make the hard days easier.

Now that I know about the hernia, David is eager to have the surgery over with. I hope we can get it scheduled soon. We got the all clear to travel on Thursday form the surgeon which was a huge relief to me.
I have always wanted to go on a cruise, Pete and I were supposed to take a cruise after Christian was born...he shipped out to war and I missed the boat. One of these days!

Rachel, THANK YOU for listening to Lisa's video! I love it, it makes me teary every time I hear it because I know what she has been through and the pain that inspired it.

August definitely wasn't my favorite month and this past Wednesday was not my favorite day! I didn't plan it, it just happened because of circumstances beyond my control, but we had Lisa's Ultrasound and doppler test on her femoral occlusion, plus 3 MD appointments (2 added on as a NUST see, can't wait). We also have 1 orthodontic appt for Rachel, (Postponed because she was ill) and 5 dental cleanings for the children and I (when I tried to reschedule, they couldn't see us until the end of September) .... plus Lisa had ballet. It was the worst day by far logistically.

David says he isn't in too much pain most of the itme, but I see him being very careful as he walks, moves etc and he is sitting more than is typical. I will feel MUCH better once he has the surgery, it was quite the shock to me how long it has been bothering him and he didn't say a word. So typical of all of my children, he didn't want to "burden" us. We all had another meeting about how they MUST tell us these things, it is easier to fix things at the beginning than after they have progressed.

Judy, my friend, you're nickname should be Wonder Woman! I know that most would say "I don't know how you do it." but I can see how. You love your children more than anything in the world and you'll do anything and everything that's necessary to see them healthy and happy.

I watched Lisa's Finding My Life video and she sounded great! The talent that she is showing at just 11 years old is unbelievable.

Praying that David's surgery can be scheduled quickly so that he can begin to health and recover.

Your trip will be here before you know it!

Oh and by the way, I get confused with people's "real" names too on Facebook. I'll know them by face or by Disname but the real name throws me off.

Wow! I knew you were busy but just forget how busy you get!!!

I do have some good news!! JAMES IS FINALLY POTTY TRAINED!!!!! Only took lot's of starting and stopping this summer and well I guess I was just ready for him to be done. He's also starting preschool on Wednesday!!! Where has the time gone? He's going to the same co op preschool Jeremy and Sarah went to so he's very excited about it being his school now.

I do need to ask for some prayers for a good friend of mine. Her son went to preschool with Jeremy and her mom did a lot of the co op hours for her since she worked full time. Her mom is a very sweet, caring, loving person! A year ago she was diagnosed with ALS. She took a turn for the worse about a week ago and unfortunately yesterday she was taken away from her loving, caring family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. I will say they do have some great memories with her because just this last May they went to WDW and spent 10 wonderful days there (I saw a lot of their pictures and there was pure joy there for all of them)!! Her son and grand daughter flew in from the East Coast and the rest of the crew (her daughter, son in law, grand daughter and grand son) all flew with her from the West Coast. Our hearts break that this wonderful person was taken away way to soon but she has been reunited with her loving husband and brother who both went before her.
