I even have DH talked into a quick getaway next month if we can find a deal,, this is just sickening cold, I have the heat turned up to 70 degrees and my bones are still chilled. (oh goodness I can just imagine the heating bill )

I too am sitting here freezing!! I am wrapped in a blanket as I type this. To make matters worse, the heat at my office is not working, and according to maintenance, it will only let my office get about 20 degrees warmer than it is outside. So does this mean if it is -20 that my office will be 0?? Lampskies, I feel the your cold, as I am right down the road from you in Merrillville. I work outside and let me tell you it was BRUTAL! This morning any part of my face that the cold got to yesterday is so red , and painful, it looks like a bad sunburn. Please remember all those people that still have to work outside no matter how cold it is. I am a public safety officer so a day off is not going to happen when it gets this cold. Just longer hours.

DH sent me a copy of an AA e-mail with $180 to San Juan but you have to go before the end of March and DS is in school.

I will keep my eyes open this weekend in our newspaper for you! If there's a will, there's a way! You are going to ADORE Las Vegas, especially since it is your first visit!!!!!

Well, a week ago, we pulled into Port Canaveral, it was 55, but I was still determined to wear shorts off the ship.... I did end up changing at the hotel when we heard it was going to be 3 degrees back home. Yeah, I'm a coward.

Today, it's up to a whopping 12 degrees, but at least I'm not working today. My radiator in my office was leaking during vacation, so they shut my heat off until they can repair it, no clue as to when that will be. So not only, did I have to face reality coming home to freezing cold, but also to a freezing cold office.

At least my dog loves this weather, he wanted me to play with him yesterday morning when I went out to start the car!!! NOT!

Jeanny, Jeanny, Jeanny Wish I had seen this post before making a crack about the curse following you. Ouch. (Insert one foot into mouth and much blushing) How cold can your office be? Hope it gets warm by Tuesday (or do you have to work Monday (holiday)?

Note new countdown. Ruth is getting the Op and she and I are going to Florida to recover.

I know, I figured with such fantastic weather all week on the ship, the curse was broken, it was just delayed until I got home!!
I wear a turtleneck, a sweatshirt and a fleece vest at work. I do have a little electric baseboard heater, but you have to stand over it to get any warmth. (SO HEY, my tag can apply to this also!!!) My office was pretty cold Thursday & Friday when it was -5 & -7 (before the wind chill).... and I do have to work today, no holiday for us, they took it away from us a few years ago, because the kids come back to school today, so most people have to check them in, etc... I'm lucky, they don't usually come over to the Gym until tomorrow when classes start...today, they're just moving back into their Residence Halls and unpacking.

I'm glad you're taking Ruth back to FL to recover after her operation. That's one fine lady you have there!!!

I'm working on my trip report, have pre trip and day one done.. I was telling Carolyn, it's amazing all the details that come back

hydster...hope the weather in Las Vegas is good for you. We were there the first week of December and it was gorgeous....75 degrees and sunny!!!

Ahhhh to see "THE VOICE" TOM JONES!!! I would love it.

I AM SO excited to go see Mr. Jones again! We went a few years ago in August for my birthday and anniversary and after eating a huge dinner at Mandalay Bay we had some time to kill so we went to the Luxor on the way to the MGM and did one of the simulation rides and on a full stomach it wasnt good so I didnt enjoy the show as much.

Tom Jones is ALWAYS entertaining..and I cannot WAIT! Even if the weather isnt perfect...it HAS to be better than here!!!!

Heidi, hope you enjoy your trip back to Las Vegas. As you can see by my handle I enjoy LV also. I'm going back there in June (going to be one hot time) for 8 nights and then again in November for a week (possibly as a stopover on the way to Hawaii). May the good fairy bless you with a great show, safe trip and tons of fun.
