Oh October, I'm scared of you.

Don't be scared. I was reading previous posts and some people were saying last year was more crowded, but nowhere near summer crowds. If that's the case, I think it will be fine.

If not, it will still be fine. :)

There is no doubt October is getting more crowded the last few years but it's not like summer crowds. It's a fantastic time to go. If you go expecting low crowd levels you'll be set up for disappointment. Just know it will be busy but not crazy crowded. One possible exception is around Columbus Day.

Went in October 2010, crowds were amazing. Went mid-November 2013 and the crowds were horrendous.... I am hoping end of October/ Beg of Nov is lower crowds... crowd calendar has 2/3/4s fingers crossed

We have gone many Octobers. I think we just missed one in the last 10 years. Every year I hear the same thing. It's going to be really busy, I can't believe how packed it is, etc. I have read posts from people that are there at the same time as I am and are amazed at how crowded it is yet I look around myself and say this is not crowded. Maybe I just choose my park days better.

While it is true that there are more people going then in the past I still think it's not bad. It may not be as slow as September but the weather is a whole lot better especially at the end of the month.

Now that I think about it, the time of day and day of the week are maybe more important than the time of year. I think, as an obsessive planner, I'll be fine.

We were there in 2012. Oct 21-26. I thought the crowds were just fine. Most waits for rides were an average of 10 minutes. Some were walk on and some we waited 20 minutes. I think the longest we waited was 35 minutes for Dumbo.

BUT, I will say that we followed Josh's advice of recommended parks every day and that meant we only went to the MK on days it hosted the Halloween party. We also went to Epcot on a Monday and to Hollywood studios on a day it closed at 6. We were also at the parks at RD too, and had an itinerary for the first few hours. So we didn't just luck into low waits. It took some planning and strategy.

However, I do have to say the trip was wonderful. We went with extended family and they all commented how nice it was to not wait in long lines.
