As much as the idea of BTMM being down during what may be my mom's last trip ever to Disneyland, I do understand the need for rides to go down for refurbishment. People can't complain about the sad state of repair of rides but also complain when the rides go down for refurbishment. It doesn't matter WHEN a ride goes down, it is going to effect someone's trip.
Disney appears to be more interested in guests who are willing to pay a great deal to visit the parks. Yet at the same time they do not appear willing to offer a premium experience for the money they are charging. In the month of December guests are paying dollar and expect a premium experience for their money. Disney should have performed this refurbishment during a month they were offering discounted tickets.
They had to do summer ticket deals to draw people
It was the perfect time to do it over when people are paying 200 bucks now per ticket on these busy ending days
Summer is dead compared to now make MK are blocked and people don't come to DL in the summer like back in the 2000 and before the parks are busier during spring break now even over the summer
I agree the work should have been completed during the summer while they were offering discounted tickets. In December customers are paying Disney's premium prices and deserve a premium experience in return for their money. Hopefully Big Thunder comes back quickly so everyone can enjoy it for the holiday season.
