Giving out some of our gifts from our trip and one of them was a princess bag for my DD5 for her ballet stuff. The store forgot to take off the security knob thing! Anyone have any idea what to do about that? It was in one of the packages we had shipped to our room so I didn't even think to check! I have the receipt....and the green slip for having it shipped to our room. I don't want to mess with it...it says it has ink in it! Aggg!

I bought a coat at a store in the mall. They left the ink thingy on. I called and told them. They told me to bring it in and they would take it off for me. I was just afraid that they would think I stole it. But having the receipt, and calling before hand I think they would just take it off for you without a problem.

I bought a jacket at WDW back in December at WOD, just before we headed home. The place was a zoo, so it's no wonder that the tag got overlooked. I called Disney Merchandising's number on the receipt. They told me to ship it back with a copy of the receipt and that they were the only ones that could remove the tag safely. My local TDS could not remove it safely. I was also told that I would be reimbursed for the shipping, which I never was, but it was less than $8, so I couldn't gripe much. Anyway, they issued me a return number that was included in the note that I enclosed and on the outside of the box.

The whole process took about 6 weeks. By the time that I got the jacket back, it was too warm here for me to need it. But, I have a really nifty jacket for the approaching winter! Maggie

This happened to us at Epcot. My husband got a jacket with the tag still on it. He took it to Disney Store in our Mall and they don't have a machine, but told him to take it to JC Penny down the mall along with the receipt. He did that and they took it off. This has been a couple of years ago, so don't know if they still use the same machines.
