We are headed to WDW March 20-27 for our very first trip and I just saw on the boards that the cheerleading competions are being held for the first 4 days of our stay! Where do they stay? We are staying at ASMo and although I expect a fair amount of noise (understandably!!!) I do want to get some sleep. I was thinking of going to CBR (my first choice) but decided on ASMo because of the boys. Now that the rates are out, CBR doesn't cost much more then I was going to pay for ASMo before the codes came out. Should I switch???????

Just my two cents: I don't know where they are staying but I've heard they mostly stay at the All-Stars because is the least expensive. I'm staying at PO-R with a waterview room. I'm hoping with this view if they are there they are in a less expensive room. Maybe this group isn't as big as Pop Warner, but I don't know. Don't let it spoil your vacation, if you wanted CBR book it with the code! :teeth:

Rumors had them in the All Stars with overflow in some of the mods. Good luck. I've dealt wit them once and glad I won't be doing it again!

We are going to WDW with the Cheerleaders. Our competition is the weekend of the 14,15 and 16. Most of the cheerleaders are going to be gone by the time you get there. The CBR is one of the resorts that the cheerleaders are staying at. The Allstars and CBR are the resort that are offered in our packages. Hope this helps!!

I was in Disney last March and stayed at CBR. There was a large group of cheerleaders staying there with us, but I hardly ever noticed they were there. The hotel groups them together in a village (last year it was in Aruba in the section furthest from the food court) so that there is minimal distraction to other guests. The only time I really noticed them was one night on our way back from DTD - they filled up the busses pretty fast! Other than that, they were a good group of kids. I am assuming disney fills up the all-stars first, then moves on to the moderates. Hopes this helps!

I changed to CBR, hopefully will get Martinique which is really what I wanted to begin with. Since I was able to get such a cheap flight and have been saving extra $$$$ other ways I can afford to upgrade. Thanks for all the advice! You guys are the best!!!

Request Martinique 25 or 26 when you check-in... they are my favorites. ;)

I think you made a great decision. :)

Stayed at ASMU last March when cheerleaders were there. Will NEVER go in March again. They were loud and obnoxious and they were on every ride at every park we did. They screamed on rides where one would not normally scream and scared my 3YO to death. :(

We were at the All Star Sports once when they were there..and we now know that when my granddaughter goes down, my daughter will chaperone. No one was paying any attention to them..they were screaming and chasing each other, and fooling around teasing the boys they had just met. They were pulling all their stuff out of some rooms and gathering together to be together in other rooms..10-12 of them..screaming and laughing til the wee hours. We called the desk at 2 AM, and the gal said there had a ton of calls and were doing the best they could. We had two small ones with us, unable to sleep because of the screaming outside our door. There were chaperones, but the night we were there (our last night, thank God), there were many of them gathered either at the outside bar or in the pool chairs chatting with each other, smoking, drinking and having their own good time, paying no attention. I sometimes think people think there is great safety just because it's Disney..they sure weren't keeping an eye on these pre and very young teens. One girl tripped over something..and screamed so much I went out, and she had a cut on her foot from running across the lawn..in the middle of the night. Security came and took her back to her room, when another person called.

Given that the rates for CBR are almost as inexpensive as ASMO, I would definitely move. Most of the kids that participate in competitions in WDW are housed at the All Star complex. Better safe than sorry!

Oh, and I guess that answers which week in March we will go this year... and it won't be that week! They can be quite distracting in the parks!

 CBR is wonderful!! You will enjoy the atmosphere much more. I would think that they would keep the Cheerleaders together in a particular village like that other poster said!;)

CBR is big and spacious. Each village has its own pool and it is very quite. You will be much happier. It is so pretty!!;)
