There are some folks in town who have a 4-5 foot statue of a rooster in their front yard. They live in a small house with a small yard, so it looks huge. Today when I went by they had bunny ears and a cotton tail on it. :rotfl:

You know we're going to need a picture posted :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hey, I thought my neighbors moved!!!! :rotfl2:

I didn't know if it would be permissible to take a picture of it. I guess if their house isn't in it a picture would be okay. I will be out that way again Wednesday.

i don't think they will mind you taking a picture...they obviously want the attention, and i have a feeling you will not be the only one taking a picture of this (ahem) art, lol.

Dh's mom and aunt would be seriously envious of that rooster for their collections!

:upsidedow :p

You've got me wondering where it is (if I remember correctly, I live in the same town/city as you). :scratchin

I always wondered what would possess someone to put something like that in their yard. I mean do you drive by one day and the idea hits you that this thing would look awesome under the big oak tree? Sounds like something my mom would like. She loves roosters! Thank goodness it seems to have skipped a generation. ;)

Why didn't they decorate it for St. Patrick's day. I can't imagine anything more lovely than a rooster with a leprechaun hat :)

There's a house near my sister's that has two 3 foot high wooden bears out front. I love driving by and seeing what they're dressed in. They have an outfit for every holiday and every occassion. :rotfl:

Man, that sounds great. I wish I lived close enough to get a picture with me in it. I have always wanted to start a collection of kitsh photos.

I have a picture of my whole family (at the time, dd was not born yet) in front of a GIANT Santa in California. I treasure it. I also have pictures of us at the Mystery House (Spot?). I need more, lol.

We have a house near us that decorates for every holiday. They cover their yard in inflatables, and huge decorations. Even very minor holidays. We use it as a land mark when giving driving directions :) And our kids love it.

Are you in Athens? I seem to recall he had some giant Easter eggs one year. I think you'll find he gets decorated for other holidays, too. ;)

No, we are about an hour away from Athens.
