any one else who is flying out sat worried??? they aren;t sure yet what track it will take I hope it stays WAY south...we have a 10 am flight on SW out of Manchester.....UGH....getting worried the trip in teh car there sat am will be hellish

Any chance of you flying out Friday? Southwest is usually pretty good about letting people take an earlier flight if it appears definite a storm is coming, hopefully the storm track will be more definite by tomorrow and maybe you could make different arrangements.

Good luck!!

We're worrying right now because we're supposed to be flying home from Orlando to Syracuse through JFK tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. on JetBlue and all their flights are cancelled today. I called JetBlue and after a twenty minute wait time on hold with them was told that we can't get a refund until such time as they cancel our flight tomorrow. I'm trying to figure out what to do and what alternate arrangements we could make, but it looks like flights are pretty booked up. Aargh!

DH was supposed to be on a SW flight out of PHL at 1:30 today. He got up at 4:00 and looked out the window at a half inch of slush with snow coming down in Central NJ. Took a quick shower and jumped in the car to PHL. SW had no problem putting him on an earlier flight, and he caught the 6:3X flight to MCO, so he's here!

I'd strongly suggest trying to get out while the getting's good.

I just found this on syracuse.com. Hopefully things will be better tomorrow. BTW, we are only supposed to get 4 to 8 inches between 2:00 pm today and 2:00 pm tomorrow which doesn't usually slow down Hancock. Hopefully NYC will be cleaned up and back on schedule tomorrow.

JetBlue cancels flights out of Hancock

Two JetBlue morning flights from Syracuse to JFK have been cancelled, according to Channel 9.

One of the flights was scheduled to leave around 6 a.m. The other was supposed to take off around 11 a.m. The two evening flights for are still on schedule.

JetBlue has cancelled a total 215 flights today because of the winter storm expected on the east coast.

An airline spokesman says the cancellations are affecting about one-third of all JetBlue flights. More than 200 of them involve flights to or from New York's Kennedy Airport.

A few flights also are being affected at New York's LaGuardia Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and Boston's Logan Airport.

In addition, last night the airline canceled 15 flights.

The National Weather Service is forecasting three to six inches of snow and sleet in New York City, with more or less in its suburbs, depending on location.

The airline says it has cancelled the flights to avoid the days of cancellations and criticism that followed Valentine's Day storm last month.

My parents are at the BWV this week and were supposed to fly out this afternoon MCO to JFK and then onto PWM ...they called yesterday (Thursday) to see if they could get on an early Fri a.m. flight instead and JetBlue said they were completely booked. Now that their flights have been canceled, they've arranged to stay at the Dolphin another two nights...tomorrow morning is going to be bad which means that the afternoon will be a mess as well. At least they're at WDW instead of at the airport.

Just found out that DH got on the ONLY SW flight that left PHL to MCO today. Every other one was cancelled.
