Oh no! I wont be able to ride the rides!!!

So I have to have shoulder surgery 10 days before our December trip. I can't move the surgery or the trip for various reasons.
The surgeon has given me the ok to go, but I'm not to ride anything "bumpy or jerky". Lol, people mover all day everyday.
I'd like to get some suggestions of other ways to enjoy our trip other than waiting in line with hubby and son and meeting them at the exit. It's my right, so I won't even be able to take pictures!
We are planning on taking in all the various Christmas stuff so I know that will be great.

During the holidays there is so much to see and do without having to go on rides. Its the one time of year where its an exterior spectacle and a Photogs nirvana. Enjoy the shows, people watch, look forward to your dining reservations and take photographs . . . its the right RX.

you can do plenty and i'm sure you know that.
if you can ride in a car and/or go on a plane you can do the majority of attractions.

If you're not spending all that time in lines for rides, you'll discover a whole different side of Disney.

Go to shows, people-watch, browse the stores, try a snack/drink they won't try, wander around with no particular place to go.

I agree. You should be able to enjoy most rides. Obviously no thrill rides. The drop on Pirates is probably out. And the safari is out for sure. But Omnimover rides are fine. Small world, haunted mansion, peter pan, little mermaid, universe of energy, listen to the land, soarin, nemo, imagination, mexico, and others are all fine. Go and have a great time.
