I own at Vero and was hoping to book at BWV for my birthday trip in October, however I see that all studios are already sold out for Oct 18 - which is smack dab in the middle of my dates (Oct 14-21). We already booked a 3-day Wonder cruise for Oct 22, so dates are pretty well set in stone).

Oh well, I guess I will begin vetting my second and third choices. Hopefully things won't be TOO booked by March 14. I really don't want to do a split stay!

Maybe some of these folks will be switching to BLT...???

October is traditionally one of BWV's busiest times due to the food & wine festival, especially the second half of the month. There were posts last year that said people waitlisted at 7 months and never got in.

I waitlisted for a 1 BR at BCV at about 8 months and one of my nights never cleared.....
That's just a tough time in the Epcot area.
(It's one of the reasons that even when BCV prices went sky high I held on to mine!)

I had to piece together a ressie one year...3 nights in a studio, 1 night in a 1br then 3 nights at CSR. I'm NOT doing that again! :scared:

Of course I say that now, but when faced with the choices of OKW or SSR (which I love, don't get me wrong, but I won't have a car and for us it's just too hard to stay there w/o one) I will probably bite the bullet and end up piecing something together again. :confused3

To all the newbies out there...BUY WHERE YOU WANT TO STAY. I was naive when I bought and should have done more research. DH wants to sell our VB contract and buy at BWV, but the prices are so deflated at VB....

Yes, but if you wait for VB prices to recover won't BWV increase as well? Waiting will only mean more years of inability to stay where you want to stay.

First do the numbers and see if switching contracts would be within your current budget/financial situation, as at least some of the costs will be payable up-front. Figure the price difference over the remaining life of your contract(s) and decide if it is a price you are willing to pay in order to be where you want to be. Be honest with yourself re: "hidden" costs, too - ie, do you sometimes rent a car if you stay at OKW or SSR?

I'm assuming that since they moved up the BLT booking date for owners from March 1 to Feb 8, that the booking date for non-owners has been moved up to Feb 22.
