I think the beer has mellowed DH (plus the years of no success at all!)
4-0 was harsh though and I agree the 'penalty that wasn't' was a turning point.

I've just let DH see the thread and he's quoted another fan "Wouldn't be a proper Boro fan if I had nothing to moan about"

I would say there is always next year but there's no place in the comp for the losing finalist

The penalty was a big turning point, but over the 90 minutes they were beaten by the better team.
Thought Southgate and Hasselbaink looked a bit slow, Seville were fitter and more skilful.

Shame would have been nice to see 'Boro win.

I've got 2 boys in my house very sad about the result, they were all togged up in shirts and scarves to watch it!! I work for a coach firm and we had 2 coaches of people over there too, that'll have been a long subdued journey home this morning!

I have to say Boro have had a long tiring season and that showed last night, but they have done very well anyway.
