Oh My Word! Disney after 5 yrs, including a surprise, teen pageant, and lots of rain!

Hi My name is Cyndi (AKADisneyqueen). Its been 5 years since my last trip to WDW. I've been working on my pre-trip report for a month but couldn't share before now because we were surprising several people at WDW (more about that later) one of which is here on the Disneyboards. I can't start a report of the now completed trip until next week because I'm leaving for DC in the next couple of days for a Women of Faith Conference (I'm unpacking my bags so that I can pack again). Not to mention the fact that we just experienced our first ever "earthquake" here in Virginia. And there is some hurricane called Irene that is suppose to hit land on the day I return from DC! Anyway I digress......along for the trip is my hubby Marc. He is a bi-vocational pastor at an inner city church and runs his own telephone communications business. Also along for the ride is our 25 and 26th year old daughters (you will get a formal introduction later). We left behind our oldest son TJ who is 27. He had to work or he would have been with us for sure. All three kids were raised on Disney and thankfully still love it.

The whole idea of a trip started back in March of 2010 when my friend Kelli said she wanted to renew her vows at WDW. My hubby would be officiating and I would stand in as a bridesmaid. Long story short it didn't happen but they decided to still celebrate the event so we decided to surprise them (the added bonus was that my neice would be there on the same week for the Miss. Outstanding Teen pageant) so we would literally be surprising two families. Again more on that later!

After a few back and forths on cost we decided to take a family cruise instead. That didn't pan out so we started looking at doing Disney again.
