oh my stress!

sorry this is just a humungo vent about how my 'perfect summer' turned out to be not-so perfect.

Disclaimer: I probably sound like an ungrateful brat, but really, I truly am grateful for all that I am getting to do this summer, and really I'm not being selfish, because most of the stuff i'm upset about pertains to my boyfriends happiness.

Alright, so most of you know about how Derek (my bf) was supposed to go to WDW with us and now isn't. I was super upset, but I've gotten over it and I've found a few ways to still include him even though he's not there.

But NOW, I bought him tickets for us to see Jack Johnson (our FAVOURITE!) for his birthday. Now the concert is a week away and he's telling me he MIGHT HAVE A LACROSSE GAME THAT DAY! And there is no way on the face of the planet that he could get out of going--as it would potentially ruin his lacrosse career (it's the semi-final game) Now this game MIGHT not happen--if they win their game on friday they won't have to play sunday.
So basically, I have to wait til friday to find out if he's able to come or not!!
So I'll have to try to find someone (a fellow Jack Johnson fan--not an easy feat!) to come with me on 2 days notice!!! (plus I will be very sulky and sad that my BF isn't there with me--and I'll probably cry when JJ plays our song.)

I am going to be sooo sad/upset/mad/disappointed if he can't come!! First Disney was supposed to be our reward for sticking it out the whole year apart, then JJ was supposed to be our reward for sticking it out through the Disney dilemma, and now THAT might not even happen!

To top it off, my work called me today and said I can't have next weekend off to go to the concert AND the next 2 weeks off to go to WDW, I have to pick one!!! Obviously I picked WDW! But I'm friends with one of the managers so I texted her and asked her to try and work something out.

Anyways, sorry I just had to vent, there's really no other point to this thread except for a bit of a pity party to feel free to ignore it.

I'm so sorry! I know how it feels to be looking forward to something, then it all crumbles apart. It's horrible.
I really, really, really hope everything works out for you!
And I would totally go with you to JJ if Derek can't go. I'm a huge fan of his. If only we lived closer!

his team WON tonight, so if they don't either win or lose the next 2 games in a row, they'll have to play the 5th game on sunday.
i am praaaaying that they get it overwith before sunday because i'll feel soooo bad for derek because he has to miss out on all this fun stuff.

but hey, maybe playing lacrosse is more fun to him?
