Oh My, Jasmine just called our toddler a TIGER trip 11-29-08 to 12-5-08

THANKS for the party info! Not sure my girls would make it up so late but we'll see! And I'll be patient for more of your TR. Guess your real life mommy duties come first! :thumbsup2

:scared: Ick Ick Ick!!! Hair in food just turns my stomach... even when it's my OWN!!

Did your kids end up getting to see the Incredibles?! I know they rotate with Frozone in that character greet area. We've spent a lot of time in there escaping brutal heat!! I've never seen Dash or Violet... only Mr. and Mrs.

Ready for more!popcorn::

Hey there-- thanks for the message. They just saw frozone, we were too late for any of the others. Hope to post more tomorrow-- Jen

Great report! I would love to hear more whenever you get the time. SO upsetting when real life gets in the way of the DIS;)

Sorry for the delay-- DD7 is super sick today. Woke up with a nasty virus-- fever, aches, cough etc..

I will try and finish Day Three here now while I can!

Day three- Magic Kingdom and special day for our Princess loving Five year old!

This day was special for our DD5. DD5 LOVES girly things-- Princesses, hair bows, dresses-- you name it. While planning our trip I debated whether or not to do the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I was a little concerned about the price, and (please don't flame me) but I thought that the pictures I had seen of the end results were sometimes stiff looking. I knew she would love it though.. so we made a 9:20 appointment before our 10:05 CRT breakfast.

(The reason that we did this for only one of our girls is that DD1 was way too young and DD7 would have hated it! She is not into hair-- hates hairbows and not into Princesses.. just horses).

So we were very excited to get to the Magic Kingdom that morning. We sort of made a half hearted attempt to "wake up Tink" but someone beat us to her-- no biggie. Our first Fantasyland rides were the carousel and dumbo.

DD5 and I headed to her appointment while DH, DD1 and DD7 enjoyed Fantasyland. When we got to BBB, I asked if we could do the hairdo without the gel. They did honor my request. DD5 was GIDDY being all dolled up. She absolutely LOVED this-- I would highly recommend it- highlight of her trip! Here are the pics from her appointment

And here is the end result:

I thought we were getting the cheapest hair package there, but we ended up with the 54 Crown Package.. with tax it was $58 not including tip. (We brought our own dress.) All in all though.. I would do it again in a heartbeat if you have a Princess loving girl who loves to get dolled up.

Here is a picture of DD5 by the fountain:

Next up--breakfast in the castle....

Soooo cute!!!!! She's a beautiful princess! Can't wait to hear more!

Day Three -Part two-- breakfast at CRT.

This being our fourth trip to WDW and with a Princess loving DD, I got ADRs for CRT. I purposely made them a late breakfast so DD5 could do the BBB first. One of my BFs had done this right before us and she warned me about this breakfast (I will explain this further later) but I felt it was really something we had to experience for ourselves.

So-- we met up with DH and the other DDs at the entrance to CRT. When you do check in, you wait and wait outside that door for what feels like a ROYAL eternity waiting to get inside. (think of sardines here.) After they call your name, you walk inside the Castle's lobby so to speak only to wait in yet another LONG line to have your picture taken with Cinderella herself. The whole time I kept thinking-- my, there MUST be a better way to set this up!

So after our photo with Cinderella

we headed upstairs to eat our breakfasts. We were seated on the outer rim of the restaurant. The food was really good, the wait staff was great, the Princess were all great. I was glad we did it.. would I do it again-- probably not. It was $143 for the five of us (DD1 is free)... the set up at the beginning was torture and the kids didn't get into the whole "hey we're in the castle" moment. They enjoyed the Akershus dinner as much as this one and they enjoyed our previous trips' visits to 1900 as much if not more.

Here are some photos from the breakfast-

Oh yes-- the food was really great here. DD5, however, is SO picky that she would not eat a bite-- not one! Not even french toast sticks.

So-- we were off now to Toontown to ride what we thought would be a great ride for the girls-- Goofy's Barnstormer! I was so excited planning this trip.. FINALLY I had kids old enough to enjoy the thrill rides...

or so I thought! We had done GB two years ago and they liked it. Well.. we did it again and neither DD5 or DD7 liked it, nor would they ride it again! RATS! So.. after we got off we tinkered around Minnie's house and Mickey's House and headed back to Fantasyland. Minnie's House for some reason was a HUGE draw for both the girls. They wanted to visit quite a few times.

Back in Fantasyland we one of DD7's favs-- the good old carousel. Here are the pictures:

Next we went to Philharmagic which is one of my ALL time favorite attractions. We all loved it including DD1.

We also tried to take some shots-- of the three of them in front of the castle (while doing the sunscreen) and some of DD5 in the princess garb-- here are two shots:

Next up-- MK magic hours...

Your dd5 is soo adorable all dolled up! You can tell she really loved being the princess!

Where did you find DD5's dress? It looks quite nice, compared to some I've seen! I found a decent Snow White dress at Walmart after Halloween last year for $10 and thought I got the bargain of a lifetime. Granted, it's not the "finest" dress on earth but, hey, she was only 2 at the time! In anycase I have planned to do Akerhaus and 1900PF while we're there so I'm hoping to get 2 outfits for each girl and always wondering how to find a nice princess dress without paying the cost of a dinner at Disney! haha

Hi-- we got her dresses (the Snow White one is in the first post) from the Disney Store. DD5's bday is October 26th and they usually mark them WAY down right before her bday. The Cinderella dress was a gift from my MIL.. we bought Snow White.. sorry I cannot remember how much, but I am sure it wasn't too bad. I really wanted to get her the white Giselle dress, but it was like $70! These were both in the $20-$30ish range I am sure because I am too cheap to pay more for a princess dress!

I would offer ours to you-- but I am afraid they are pretty beat up!
have a great day- jen

Day Two-- our FAVORITE MK EMH Evening magic hours.

During our last 06 trip, we sort of stumbled onto the MK magic hours on Monday evening. I know that sounds silly, but it's true. Although I know many of the Disney guides and sites recommend staying away from EMH-- IMHO-- if you go at the value or least crowded times of the year, I say take advantage of them! This night MK was open until 11 or 12 (sorry I am not sure which, we would never make it that late with the three DCs)..

It was incredible!

After our late breakfast and a few attractions (I think we did Aladdin's Carpets-- one of DD7s favs) on the way out.. we went back to CBR for a rest for the kids. That evening we knew we had a late night, so we didn't feel too bad about leaving the park.

We headed back to MK and wanted to hit some of the rides we'd missed that morning-- POTC, Aladdin (again), Haunted Mansion (DD5 was terrified of this ride and literally hid in my jacket) etc.. After touring a few of these-- we headed to dinner at the counter service Columbia Harbor House in Frontierland. I would highly recommend this CS. Our DD7 loves clam chowder (which was a draw for us) but they have a huge set up upstairs that is nice and the food was really good.) I got the chicken salad which was excellent and we also split fish and chips and had clam chowders. The desserts were also great. Probably one of our favorite CSs of the trip.

That evening the girls wanted to go back to Minnie's House-- so we headed there next followed by Tomorrowland Speedway.

Surprisingly, this was one of DD5's favorites-- go figure. We were able to also ride on the Buzz ride, Transit Authority and pretty much everything else we wanted to do here. We didn't make it up to that Astro Orbiter though-- maybe next trip! Seriously though-- this was December 1st and the crowds were not bad at all. We also went back to Fantasyland and did whatever the girls selected there too. (We also didn't do Splash Mountain, Space Mountain or Thunder Mountain because they were too chicken to ride..:sad2:

Around 9:30 we sat down for a snack of funnel cakes from the Sleepy Hollow.

And THIS was our backdrop--

It doesn't get any better than that!

Coming soon- Day Four-- EPCOT Center all day long-- and WHAT? You don't like Soarin or Test Track DDs??? oh geez..........

Even though I am also your real life friend and have heard about your trip, i am enjoying reading your report -- keep it coming Jen!! :)
