Oh my gosh! They really work!!!

When shoping for new pants for my fall work clothes, I bought a pair of those new kahki dress pants Docker's has been advertising that are "stain and spill resistant". I didn't buy them for that feature, though!

We'll, today at McDonald's, the lid on my diet Coke wasn't on tight, and it popped off, spilling a great deal of soda all over my lap! Thinking I'll look like an idiot (I was at lunch with half the day to go yet) with a huge spill on my pants, I immediately start to mop it up with some napkins. Low and behold, not only did the Coke not stain, MY PANTS WEREN'T EVEN WET!!! The liquid rolled right off, and did not absorb into the fabric! I was able to wipe it all off, and looks like nothing even happend!

I don't have kids, so maybe they already do this, but this is a fantastic idea for children's clothing. Especially nicer stuff like dress pants and shirts for boys!

They don't do it that I know of, but I would LOVE it if they did. I would gladly pay more for stain-resistant shirts for my kids!!! I buy the Shout action gel stain remover and I kid you not, I go through a WHOLE bottle every time I do laundry and most of it goes for my DD7's shirts!

Oh sure, like you aren't really a Docker's merchandiser posting this story on Internet bulletin boards to help your business.

Seriously, that sounds great and I'm glad they worked out so well!

However, I'll bet they didn't protect you from the pain, anguish, and potential embarrassment of having the cold liquid from McDonald's poured into your lap.

Don't let quality pants keep you from a lucrative McDonald's lawsuit after all!

decker96, they sell these kind of pants at Macy's in the boys department.

Maybe elsewhere too, I just needed some for my sloppy boy!

Good to know, although the only Macy's we have around here is at the Mall of America. We get up there a couple times a year though. Maybe they make them for girls too (DD7 is my real problem!!) Thanks for the tip!

dont use fabric softener when you wash them. my dh had a pair and they worked well untill i washed them with fabric softener and now they stain

Yeah, you can't use fabric softener, it says so on the tag.
