Oh my GOODNESS - we ate a LOT!! (with pics)(days 5-7 up 7/9)

Wonderful reviews. Very glad to hear you had a good meal at Raglan Road. We are planning on eating there for the first time during our upcoming trip and I am really looking forward to it. I have a question though, what was in the Bates Bangher Banoffi Beauty? I can never figure it out from the photos.
:confused3

It was some sort of caramel and banana thing...it was fantastic!!!

Once again this morning I got up and grabbed us some breakfast while DH got ready.

Today I decided to get some French Toast and fruit for us to share.
I got the French Toast combo with eggs, bacon and sausage, with a bottle of water and an OJ (and filled our mugs), and a fruit cup. It was ok...nothing great. It probably would have been better if we had eaten it right there, but it was a little cold and soggy by the time I got back to the room. The fruit was good and a decent size.

French Toast - 1 CS ($5.99 OOP)
::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo (probably would be 3 if you ate it right away)
Fruit Cup - 1 snack ($2.99 OOP)

After breakfast we headed over to MK. We knew we didn't want burgers or anything so we decided on Columbia Harbor House for lunch based on fabulous reviews. It didn't disappoint!! We both got the Achors Aweigh Sandwich, I got fries and a Diet Coke, DH got Cole Slaw and an iced tea, and we both got the apple pie dessert. We really liked this lunch, it's a LOT of food. The sandwiches were huge and on yummy whole grain bread. DH really liked the cole slaw. French fries are just about my favorite food in the whole wide world, so I can be picky with them, but they were good, not great. We were both stuffed so we just picked at dessert, but it was yummy!

2 Achors Aweigh meals - 2 CS ($23.54 OOP roughly)

After MK we headed back to POR to take out a mouse boat for a little while. It was lots of fun, a great way to spend an hour or so!! We got drinks at Muddy Rivers after that, and decided once we saw that bill that it was way more economical to spend $12 on a 6 pack of Bud cans for our room!!! DH went to the gift shop to get the beer and I brought our 2 drinks back to the quiet pool near our room. DH had gotten a Bud draft and I had gotten some sort of frozen espresso thing. It was YUMMY, but it filled me up and made me sleepy!!!

drinks - $13.32 OOP - yeah - for 2 drinks - one of which was a BUD!!!
::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo for the taste
::MickeyMo for the price!!

Up next, dinner at WCC

We had an 8:10 ADR at WCC so we headed back to MK for a little bit and then took the boat over to WL. We had never been there before so we explored a little and still had some time before we wanted to check in. We found our way over to the Territory Lounge, what a cool place!!!
We sat at the bar and each ordered a drink. I had a Cactus Pear Margarita, DH got a Wild Hop beer. We both love to try local beers and it didn't disappoint, it was good. The margarita was good, but I don't think I'd get it again. It was sweet.
Drinks - $14.12 OOP

We checked in for dinner at about 7:50 and were seated about 10 minutes later. I was really excited for this meal after all the good things I had heard, and it lived up to the hype. We liked everything we had here!!

We ordered drinks. DH got another beer and I got the margarita of the day, it was cranberry and it was FABULOUS...and it came in this glass -

:rotfl:

Then we got some cornbread that was really good!!

77898IMG_2114_Medium_-med.JPG

I had the Canyon Skillet which included the salad as the appetizer, and the banana dust bowl for dessert.

OMG - this food was SO good!!!! The dressing on the salad was great. The meat in the skillet was all so good. I don't think I asked for seconds on anything because I was so stuffed, but it was SO GOOD. The potatoes were super tasty, too. I just tasted the dessert because I was full, but it was super yummy, too.

DH had the fried chicken wings, the Strip Steak, and the Apple Caramel Pie.

The wings were great, I snuck a couple! The had a great taste to them. Dh said the steak was "good"...it definitely wasn't the best he had ever had. I don't think he'd get it next time. The onion straws and potatoes were really good though!! He also really liked his dessert!

We rolled ourselves out of there...and would DEFINITELY go back. It was a fun atmosphere and great food!!!

I love your reviews! Keep them coming. I'm thinking of doing reviews for my upcoming 9 day trip in October but I'm wondering how inconvenient it is to take all those pictures and notes? I'm thinking it would be fun at this point. Are you actually reviewing from WDW? Are you there now?

It wasn't an inconvenience once we remembered to take the pics!!!

Nope, we were there at the beginning of May, I just saved all of my receipts! Glad you're enjoying it!

WOW! We are going to WL in November. I'm definitely going to have to try the margarita of the day :yay:

Looking forward to reading some more!

Lovin your reviews!! We too are going to try CHH for lunch based on what we've read here and your review confirmed exactly what I'm going to get!!:cool1:

Great reviews so far! :thumbsup2 I love the pictures, that you listed the prices as well. A cranberry margarita? That sounds so good!

Subbing. Love your pictures and reviews...keep them coming. You've sold me on Columbia Harbour House! YUM!

Thanks for all the replies, I'm glad you're all enjoying the reviews!!

Happy 4th of July!!!!!!!!!!

:dance3: :wave2: party: :daisy: :butterfly :flower1:

We were a little late getting up this day so we filled our mugs on our way out to the bus and decided to grab some breakfast at MGM a little later.

After a couple rides we headed over to Starring Rolls for breakfast.

I got a bagel and a large coffee, DH got a cinnamon roll and an OJ.

77898IMG_2117_Medium_-med.JPG

We decided since we only had 2 more days and hadn't used many snack credits that we would just use 4 for this meal. Everything was really good. The bagel was fresh and the coffee tasted like heaven after the stuff they pass for coffee at POR!!! The cinnamon roll was huge and really tasty. The OJ was...OJ!!!

bagel, roll, coffee and OJ - 4 snacks (the prices aren't on my receipt or the allears site so I'm not sure what it would have cost for the food, the coffee and OJ would have come to about $4.38)

overall -

We headed back to POR in the early afternoon and headed to the foodcourt for lunch.

I headed for the make your own pasta bar and got penne with pesto, artichokes, shrimp and prochiuto (sp). There was LOTS of stuff to pick from and I couldn't even finish the serving. It was YUMMY!! I got a bottle of water for later and filled my mug, and got a giant cookie for dessert.

77898IMG_2120_Medium_-med.JPG

DH went with the Muffaletta...it was HUGE!!! I tried it and it was really good, but he didn't love it. I think there was something on it that he didn't like, it wasn't that the sandwich was bad. He did pick some stuff off and eat it and enjoyed it. He also got a bottle of water and a cookie. His sandwich also came with a side of pasta salad.

pasta, sandwich, 2 water bottles, side of pasta salad and 2 cookies - 2CS ($24.86 assuming the bottled waters were $2 each)

up next - dinner at 50's

We rested at POR for a little bit then headed back to MGM. We had a 6:55 ADR at 50's.

We checked in about 6:35 and headed into the Tune In Lounge to wait for a table. What a neat place this is!! We found two seats at the bar and checked out the drink menu. DH ordered a Bud (surprise!!) and I decided to try a Dad's Electric Lemonade on the recommendation of the bartender. It was really good, very light and refreshing...and it came with a super cool light up ice cube!!

We were seated a little before our ADR time and introduced to our server "cousin" and all of our "cousins" sitting near us at the table.
I decided on the Fried Herb Cheese, Fried Chicken and S'mores. OMG - that cheese was un-freaking real. It was SO good. I ate the WHOLE thing. I may have given DH a tiny little taste, but that was it. It was AWESOME. Before we ordered our server said if we didn't eat our veggies we had to sign "I'm a little teapot" for the people around us...I wasn't so into that so I asked for green beans with my chicken instead of Southern greens...I didn't get them. I was nervous, but I tried the Southern greens and really liked them so I ate them all!! The chicken was also really good, nice and crispy, and they were able to give me all white meat upon request. It was 2 HUGE breasts though, so I only ate one, and picked at the crunchy skin on the other. The S'mores were delish, too, but I was STUFFED by that time so I didn't eat much of them!!! I was too full to take advantage of the shakes or anything so I just had water to drink.

77898IMG_2137_Medium_-med.JPG

DH went with the shrimp cocktail, the glazed salmon, the kid's sundae and a chocolate shake. And a Coors Light. I had to roll him out of there...he ate all the shrimp...and ate all the salmon...and most of the ice cream...and drank the whole shake...and the beer. And then he didn't know why his stomach hurt!!!
LOL
Anyway, the shrimp was really good, nice and fresh, and the cocktail sauce was good. DH said the salmon was really really good, I don't like it, so I didn't try it! He also liked building his own sundae.

We would definitely go back there...and I think I'd get the exact same meal...unless they turn the fried cheese into an entree, then I'd get that!!
LOL

Thanks for including the cocktails in your reviews, us New Orleans folks love our alcohol!!!!!:drinking1

great reviews...you make me actually want to try the PT cafe'...that fried herb cheese app. is right up my ally!

Thanks for the report and pictures. The pictures are great. We love the 50's and looking at the fried chicken made me really, really hungry!
