If I schedule on Ding and cancel my reservations for the same days, I know they normally make it their policy at SWA to allow travel credits for one year, but I can't really afford to have 400 dollars in credits out there, so what experience has everyone had getting the money credited to thier credit card after changing to a DING? Do I even have a chance?

I don't think there would be much of a chance to get a refund instead of a credit, but I don't see any reason not to rebook at the Ding rate and take the credit. You woln't lose anything and will have the credit for 1 year. It may come in handy later.

You were right.

I was looking at it wrong. I thought that I would have to purchase the fare and then cancel, having 600 dollars sitting there in credits.

What I did was call SWA and they made me check to be sure the flight I wanted was there and then they cancelled my original flight, allowing credits to "apply ticketless travel" So I have the difference on credit (like 200 dollars) and not the 600 I thought. Easier to take!

Just got great ding to Orlando, but not my dates.

Sorry to hear that. The only good looking one I saw was from my town and Philly too!

I saved 192.00 keep the faith!

Now you have a good reason to plan a 2nd trip! (Can't waste those credits!)
