Oh Jeez!! Not another Trader Joe's question!!!

Quick question for everyone about Trader Joe's. I don't think this one has ever been asked and a search just pulls up WAY too many threads....

....I have a new one opening about 240 seconds (very close) from my house next Friday. Is it worth it to be there at the Lei-Cutting? Do they do anything special or give out anything?

No idea, but so glad there's one THAT close to you!!! I make the 30 min trek each Sunday morning for my groceries!! LOVE me some TJ's!

Die hard Wegmans fan (and employee) here...But one is opening near me. Have to say I'm a bit curious although they won't win me over to shopping there - I'm sure I'll poke my head in to check it out at some point.

good question. i would just email them and ask if they will have any special events or anything. i am sure they would tell you, no reason to keep info like that a secret.

Yep, that's the one! I live off of Oregon Trail so it's almost within walking distance.

I see they some activities, but was just wondering if they had special discounts/coupons or anything. I won't make it because of work, but my MIL is asking.

We got one a few months ago. I was there opening day. No specials or anything, just lots and lots and lots of people! They play fun music and have samples all the time. Things are generally not really high-priced there to begin with. The store is pretty small too. Pack your patience if you decide to go on day 1

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. Think I'll skip day 1 and go later the following week.

Trader Joe's generally does not have sales or coupons; prices are same day to day. I'd skip opening day and check it out on a weekday morning soon after. They have some fabulous and well-priced stuff; definitely worth a trip.

Thanks for the advice. I've been to Trader Joe's (always hit the one in Chapel Hill when I'm down there). I was just curious if they had anything for the grand opening.

You are lucky! Wegmans is opening a store closer to me soon, but still at least 45 minutes away. The closest TJ's is about 25 minutes

The East Liberty one is closer for me if coming from work but this one is closer to home!

Wow you are so lucky! I've been waiting for almost 6 years for them to come to Texas and it still hasn't happened. I moved here from So. Cal, where TJ's is from and I sure miss it. Lots of great stuff there, enjoy it!
