We are currently under a tornado watch..
I flipped the channel and the "bug" popped on... DH laughs at me because I yell "WHAT?" and start shaking the remote as if that is going to turn the tornado watch off!!:rotfl2:

We've had thundersn**s, thunderstorms...but it's been such a beautiful day here (it was warmer this morning here then in Orlando...of course later in the day Orlando warmed up but it was still a balmy 65 here today)...

Nothing on our TV stations.

Really hope it stays that way.

Be Safe!!

Stay safe- pixiedust: pixie dust and prayers!

What a day.

School lets out at 3:50. musical rehearsal starts at 4. So we start to get the kids rounded up to start rehearsal when they come over the PA and say get in the basement (thankfully our building has a functioning basement-we keep the 6th graders down there, haha!).

We spent the next hour until 5 under tornado warnings of all kinds. You should have seen all the teachers with their laptops and desktops out (and me with my ipod touch!).

All clear at 5, have 20 minutes of rehearsal (it ends at 5:20). I go to the gym to see my friend in there and lo and behold, they put out another warning where I live (county north of my school). So, I go home with her and wait another half hour for it to expire and weather to clear before going home.

Whew. The worst part though, was being 2 turns away from my house, seeing a police officer to the side with his lights on, slowing to find out what's going on and hit a WALL of water!! I had no idea that's why he was there-standing water- so i plowed right on through it. Duh, Shorts. :P

;) Anyway, we set a new high (63 I think). One teacher fought the urge to run up and down the halls and yell "we're all gonna dieeee!"... I told him I didn't think the kids would appreciate it. ;)

Is everyone okay? Hope so.:grouphug:

Good gracious GBshorts glad to hear you got home but that was an adventure in and of itself...
My gosh that teacher needs a good smack down... I hope somebody talks to him... he isn't good under pressure..

Things were quiet last night..but we have some wicked wind gusts and rain right now... I hope my house stays put... or DD stops throwing a fit..it's a school day.. get over it! It's all apart of being a kid.. btdt!

Actually, that teacher was thinking of doing it for comic relief...you've got to understand this guy. He organizes dodgeball tournaments, drives RC cars up and down the halls to deliver messages into neighboring classrooms, etc.

I can't believe it's only Tuesday. Yesterday felt about 3 days long. :P

Glad everyone is safe!!! We are bone dry here... hard to believe after having to build the ark this summer. Let me know if anybody needs it... it's just sitting around. :lmao:

Well, no wild weather here, but the warm! Gotta love the warm. My DS said this morning as we walked to school that it felt like FW in January. Birds were singing, it was quiet and I agree, I could have been walking to the boat to get to the Magic Kingdom. Needless to say, we were walking to school. No where near the same thing. Phooey...
