OH BOY!!*My 1st PTR for our 1st ever WDW trip JUNE 2011* 6/14: Started my TR.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but a quick question.....did you notice it affecting the wait times of the busses going back to the resorts, etc? :confused3

Thanks and now back to your regularly scheduled thread.....:rotfl:

Not at all. They seemed to have their own stop/line so therefore got their own bus. I'm assuming the arrived just as frequently as the resort busses because we rarely saw long lines waiting for them. And whenever we did see a line a bus seemed to show up shortly! The only time we had to wait a long time for our resort bus was the one time that we JUST missed it...it pulled away while we were still walking up to the line.

Hope this helps. :thumbsup2

Oh yeah, the countdown is ON! 5 days until we arrive, 4 days until we leave out! :cool1::banana::yay::hippie:

I've almost finished packing the kids up, just need to throw in their last minute stuff... So I really need to start on my bag now! I've laid some clothes aside that I want to take, they just haven't made it into my luggage, LOL. :goodvibes

Backpack issue:
Almost have our park backpack ready and OMG it's so heavy already!!! :rotfl2: I don't know how in the world we will carry that thing around. It's holding: Poncho's Hats, Fans, Autograph book, Epcot passports, Baby wipes, Sunscreen, extra outfits for the kids, Sanitizer, and a few other tiny things. But all of that can really add up in weight!!! When we have the stroller it could easily fit into the bottom of it but I'm afraid we won't be able to take the stroller into MK because it's too big to transport on a monorail or anything!! Is the walk to TTC too far? :confused3 Would DH be able to go get the car and drive it up to the front on MK so we could load the stroller?

Still haven't told the kids!!! Trying to hold out until Monday!!! :cloud9:

:woohoo: on it being 5 days!!! How exciting!!

I'm afraid I can't help with the backpack question but hope it all works out and you find a way to get the stroller to MK.

Wow on holding out from telling the kids. I bet you can't wait to see their reactions!

:woohoo: for 5 days!!

Remember, you don't have to take all the stuff you listed into the parks every day. If you aren't at Epcot, leave the passports in the room. :thumbsup2 And double check the backpack to be sure you aren't overpacking it as well. (I'm guilty of doing that.)

Honestly, I don't see why the stroller won't fit onto the monorail. I know it can be packed sometimes, but I've seen some really large strollers (and other items) brought onto the monorail. Just do your best, arrive early, and you should be fine.

Can't wait to hear all about it!!!! popcorn::

Woohoo for 5 days! :woohoo:

I agree with Lidian... just take the essentials you need for each park so you don't overload your bag.

For what it's worth, I didn't take extra clothes for my kids... even during our 1st trip when they were 4 and 6. And each girl also had her own fanny pack to carry a fan, pair of sunglasses, and a hand sanitizer (last year I got them each a Vera Bradley mini hipster to use instead of the fanny packs).

That is what strollers are for, right? Anyways, that's what mine is for! If you wanted to lighten your load a little, you could always forgo the extra outfits. If someone spills or has an accident it would make a great excuse for some souvenirs. :thumbsup2

How big is your stroller? I thought people brought strollers on the monorail all the time. I hope that wouldn't be an issue. That would be a big bummer.

Hey there! Just read through all your plans and it sounds like you guys are going to have a blast! Just remember to relax and have fun and don't worry about getting everything done!

I agree with the others, you should definitely drive your own car to the parks to save time, especially when park hopping.

Ohh I like the kids fanny pack idea.... hmmm...

This is the stroller we have, it MIGHT fit on a monorail I'm just worried it won't, it would be nice though if we could just roll on with out folding it and trying to carry it:

We have an early ADR at the CR for Chef Mickey's so I know we COULD walk to MK from there but your not supposed to park there all day right? Isn't there a time limit? What about with Valet parking? Sorry for all the questions. :lmao:

If it could go on a monorail we might have to try the handicap car? :confused3

I bought the fanny packs for my girls off of ebay... pretty sure they were less than $10 each.

I don't have any personal experience with strollers at WDW as we've never taken one, but I would think if wheelchairs and ECVs can fit on the monorail, your stroller should.

My thoughts exactly! :thumbsup2

Ok, thanks girls. I've never been on a monorail so it's all very new to me, sorry for all of the crazy questions. We are just a few days away so all of the little thoughts are starting to panic me! :cutie:

"For Real we're going?!!"
"Is this the last clue?"
"Is it free, is that why?"
"Socks!!!"
"We get to be nice with them"

:laughing::love::cool1:

I am thrilled, can't believe it's already time to go!!
