Oga's Reservation

I originally had a reservation for 5, was looking to see if there was a time for one more person who decided to tag along and there was but what ended up happening was changing my 5 to 1 person without me confirming it. I panicked and tried looking for another reservation. Was able to get a time for 3 people, but now we are still needing another 3 people. What is the strategy? Why does the system allow it to change without you confirming that? Is there anything that a cast member can do if I were to call them?

Your best bet may be to call the Dining Reservations line. Collect copies of all of your confirmation numbers (original for 5, and new one for 3) and explain what happened. Otherwise, you can try booking 2 smaller reservations 5-30 mins apart and see if the CM can help you at check in. When Oga's first opened I did two 1 person reservations 20 minutes about ADRs were such a mess, CM checked us in together not problem.

And of course, you probably already know the boilerplate advice to just keep checking, for any number of guests. People change their plans all of the time.
