Offsite/Apartment in the Paris environs with easy access to Disneyland? Asking too much?

Hi, we are going to France on holidays this August and planning on staying somewhere around Paris for at least a week. This is why we are buying AP's for DLP and incorporating a few days there (sure it'd be rude not to!)
I have been researching and researching various accommodations and I'm a bit overwhelmed at this stage. We are going by ferry so can bring the tent, I was looking at campsites. Then I noticed some of the cheaper offsite hotels are as cheap as camping (but probably rubbish quality).
I got to thinking then about the possibility of an apartment that we could rent for the week or 10 days.
Has anyone stayed in a nice, reasonably priced apartment that is not too difficult to get to either Paris centre or Disney from (we will have our car).
Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks for any tips

Disneyland Paris is not actually IN Paris, its in an area called Marne-la-Vallée, an area located 32 km (20 mi) east of the centre of Paris. It takes about an hour approx to drive from the centre of Paris to Disney, although there are faster ways of getting there, like the train.

Disneyland Paris actually has its own self catering facility called Davey Crockett Ranch http://www.disneylandparis.ie/hotels/disneys-davy-crockett-ranch/

I would base at Davey Crockett, and then take the train from Disney into Paris for the day. That way you get the perks of staying onsite but are not paying the higher price of the onsite hotels

The cheaper offsite hotels at Disneyland Paris are actaully not as bad you think. I am a member of the English language Disneyland Paris forum MAGIC FORUM http://www.magicforum.eu/index.php?action=forum and alot of the members stay either at Davey Crockett or at the off site hotels.

I have seen many trip reports from members of MagicForum who have stayed at The Kyriad http://www.disneylandparis.ie/hotels/kyriad-hotel/ The Dream Castle Hotel http://www.disneylandparis.ie/hotels/vienna-international-dream-castle-hotel/ The Magic Circus Hotel http://www.disneylandparis.ie/hotels/vienna-international-magic-circus-hotel/ and The Hotel l'Elysee http://www.disneylandparis.ie/hotels/hotel-lelysee-val-deurope/

The nearby town of Val De Europe is a new town with a major shopping mall and other attractions. Thats where many of the off site hotels are located. Again Val De Europe has great train service to central Paris and many people who stay there take a day or two sighting seeing in Paris.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. I probably wasn't clear enough in my post.. We are looking for a recommendation of an apartment maybe half way between DLP and Paris. I've stayed on and off site before but looking for something a little different this time as we'll have the car and want to go to both Paris and DLP for a few days each. I was hoping maybe someone had stayed somewhere they could recommend.

Thanks for your help! :-)

There isn't really anyway nice half way between the two where I'd suggest staying - There are campsites and gites but they are further out. You could look at the Gites de France site to give you an idea http://www.gites-de-france.com/

Try https://www.airbnb.co.uk/ - my brother and his girlfriend found a cheap, decent little apartment near one of the train stations that could take them into DLP OR in to Paris (they did both!).

Thanks for that I've been checking out airbnb along with expedia and travel republic. I actually think we're going to camp now! Been checking out campsites around the area thanks to this brilliant forum. :)
