how do i go about finding an officiant? do i do it or does my em do it?

You can probably get names through your em...we are using Rev Tim Herring, who we like very much and met with during our planning session.

I understand Rev Jack Day is also highly recommended.

You should receive a list of officients in your planning packet. We are having Rev Jack Day, He comes highly recommended!

We had Rev. Kevin Knox! We really liked him. He was recommended in the planning kit.

Rev. Tim Herring married us - he was great, very nice. It was all a blur to me, but everyone complimented his ceremony.

I would recommend that you call Jack Day and Tim Herring (and any other officiants listed in the current planning kit). First ask if they are free for your date/time, that may eliminate a few right off the bat. Then choose the one you feel most comfortable with. I believe they all charge the same rate (at least Jack Day and Tim Herring do), and they will allow you to customize your ceremony to your taste. Jack Day married us and sends out his "Jack Pack" with some sample ceremonies. We ended up piecing ours together using examples on the disneymooner website (which is also very helpful)! He just asks that you send it in to him well before the wedding. I'd start looking soon because the Disney officiants fill up fast!

thank you all for your replies. id call them but i haven't recieved anything from disney yet! they say the 2005 packet isn't ready yet but i thought i have to book an officiant 12 months in advance? my wedding is in may!

just to let you know, you do not have to book your Officiant 12 months in advance. I only booked mine 7 months in advance.
