Officiant

My fiance and I are getting married in September 2004 and we need to pick an officiant. I am Roman Catholic and she is a member of the Episcipal (sp?) church. Any advice on an officiant would be much appreciated or if there are any sites that you could refer. Thanks.

Hi there! Congrats on your upcoming wedding! My husband and I used Reverend Tim Herring and he was perfect for us. We wanted a non-religious but spiritual ceremony and he created the perfect wording for us. My brother and his wife also used Reverend Tim but they wanted a traditional Catholic ceremony and that's what they got (minus the Eucharist, of course). Reverend Tim will work with you to create a ceremony that is right for you.

I've also heard TONS of great things about Reverend Jack Day and have been to several weddings where he officiated. He's terrific!

And, Reverend Kevin Knox is also well liked. Good luck with your decision!

My vote goes to Rev. Jack Day as he did my wedding and he was wonderful.................but you must be quick as he books up fast.

First! Where and when are you getting married in Sept 04? We are too! The 18th at 2:30 in the WP.

Just a heads up, I do know that Rev Tim and Rev Jack Day are pretty booked up for September so get in touch with them soon. We are having Tino Ballesteros marry us, he was just wonderful. He is a Presbytarian minister and took into account both of our Catholic backgrounds and really tailored the ceremony to be as "Catholic" as it can. He is on the Disney list, if you need any more info, please don't hesitate to ask. I HIGHLY reccomend him!

Thank you all for your replies. I have contacted Rev. Tim Herring and looks like he is available.

Our intimate ceremony is scheduled for September 14 @ 2:00pm at the WP with the cake reception to follow at the GF.

Sorry for the delay in replying, I am recovering from sinus surgery.
