Officiant Suggestions

Hey everyone. I need some opinions/help. We are currently conducting our search for an officiant. Can anyone suggest one? I know I have seen the cute little guy in a lot of the videos, what is his name? Any other suggestions would help. And if you could give me some of your good/bad experiences with the one you used, that would be great as well.

His name is Rev. Jack Day, and he is spectacular. We had him for our wedding I couldn't have been happier. He is actually one of the kindest and most sincere person I've ever met, he made us feel so comfortable and walked us through the ceremony. I highly recommend him if he is not booked already but I suggest booking him as soon as possible as he is one of the most popular officiant down there.

Our wedding isn't until May but we are having Rev. Jack Day, I have spoken to him several times and he is so nice and helpful.

We're having Rev Jack Day also in May. I was originally gonna have Rev Tim who I found very nice indeed but he just didn't "do it" for me - I've seen his ceremonies and they are good but I wanted someone with a bit more oomph and I just felt that from a personality point of view we didn't click.

I never got the chance to meet Rev Day but from emails alone he has made me feel very comfortable with my choice.

I was also considering Rev Knox - but I'm saving him for our Vow Renewal - whenever that will be in the future LOL

We also had Rev. Jack Day for our wedding in Nov 2002. He was very sweet and helpful. He offers lovely ceremonies to pick from or to use as guides to create your own. We combined elements from several of his "stock" ceremonies and he never missed a beat or confused us with any other couple...which was probably difficult considering that he is one of the most requested officiants in the area!

ok, so Jack Day gets the top votes. I am going to email him and see if I can meet with him. I want him to meet my fiance and I. We want to see how "if feels" with him, if we get a good vibe.

Did anyone else use Rev Tim?

Sam, who is Rev Knox? He was not on the list they gave me.

Rev. Knox is a Methodist minister.

I scheduled him for our January 8, 2005 wedding earlier this week. He is incredibly prompt about returning your emails.

We used Jack Day. I actually called the recording office where you get your license from (and where it is processed) and she said he is one of the most frequently used ministers. He is comfortable with any type of service, and has a few scripts which he mailed us. We reviewed them and did not change a word, one of them was perfect.

Rev. Jack Day is a Teddy Bear. We absolutely LOVED him. He is so sincere and genuine. He made our ceremony ever so special. He comes HIGHLY recommended by me.

FOUND ONE!

We just got back and have found an officiant. We contacted just about everyone on the list and no-one had any openings for our date. We finally found one with an open day for our wedding, met with him and fell in love!

We are going with Tino Ballesteros. He is a Presbeterian minister who really felt our pain of not being able to marry Catholic. He sat with us and went over every nuance of the ceremony and incorporated tons of Catholic traditions into it. He is such a wonderful man and really made us comfortable and wanted to know who we were and how we met and all that good stuff. We hit it off with him right away and we knew he would work out. I HIGHLY reccomend him for anyone that is still looking.
