Well it looks like the Official thread was one of the ones that got "poofed" so I figured I'd start a temp one so we could all still chit chat.

So come on Sharky, Disneymommom, E.R., Betsy, Donald, Smiley ( I know you are out there somewhere), Steph, 2princesscuties, Mickiecake & who ever else I forgot ( I'm sorry if I forgot you, but I haven't had my 1st cup of coffee yet) check in.

GOOD
MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna be alittle busy this morning. Taking the twosome to daycare, then running to the store for a few things. Then off to H&R Block to do the taxes. Hopefully we will get enough to pay off DH's truck (cross your fingers). Then back to the house to tackle some of the mess in DD's room.

Will check in from time to time. Hope everyone has a good day.

Tink - Thanks for doing this. I wasn't on since yesterday afternoon and was shocked that the thread was gone! Glad it's only temporary!!! Hope the taxes go well :thumbsup2 We're off to run a few errands too.

Talk to you soon!

WHAT THE HECK???

Oh well at least i feel extra special cause someone actually BROUGHT me here. Thanks for the invite :>)

After the last 24 hours when the porcelain God has been my friend :worship: this is a nice place to feel comfy

Hey Ya'll!

Tink- good luck with the taxes! Maybe you will soon be doing the happy tax dance! :woohoo:

Donald.. I hope you are feeling better soon!!

I am gonna copy/past what I wrote on my PTR bout DH foot. AM I lazy or what?!?!?

My kingdom for a Snapple

Ugh. What a week. May as well start at the beginning...

Many moons ago, before DH had found his reason for living (before we met, in other words:rotfl: ) he got a massive sliver of pressure treated wood in his foot. Went to doctor, doctor take out. No biggie. Fast forward 2 months,, he was having trouble walking from some random foot pain.

Back to another doctor, they did an X Ray, and lo and behold! there is more of the same wood in his little tootsie. So, they did a little in-house surgery to get it out. Only problem was, they put the novicaine in the wrong spot, so he felt the whole thing. He was a teenager at the time, and the doctor thought he was just being a baby. All that screaming was just for show, I guess.:scared1:

So, as a result, he won't let anyONE or anyTHING touch his feet. Understandably so. Instead of a foot fetish, he has a foot PHOBIA.

So. About 2 weeks ago, he was taking the trash out, and got something is his foot. The day before, I had broken a Snapple bottle by accident. I thought I swept it all up, but you know how it goes. So, we were assuming it was a lil piece of Snapple glass. I tried to get it out, soaked his piggies in epsom salt and warm water, then went at him with tweezers. No dice. Of course, it doesn't help when your home surgery subject jumps 2 feet every time you look like you are THINKING about touching his foot. Finally he says just forget it, it'll work it's way out. Which it usually does.

Well this past weekend, it REALLY started to bother him. He was limping, and complaining of foot pain. I took a look, and the area of the puncture has healed over, and swollen a little bit.

Well, guess what, phobia boy, you're going to the doctor tomorrow to get your foot fixed!:scared:

Poor guy, He was a nervous wreck. To the casual observer he probably looked like a rehab reject. Sweating, twitchy, grumpy. :rolleyes1 We were in the waiting room, and he was jumping up every other minute, saying stuff like "Jeez! Come on Already!!" Yeah. The lady with the baby looked VERY relieved when we went back. :scared:

So, they X Rayed his foot, and you will never guess what they found. No, it wasn't Jimmy Hoffa, it was

SHARDS OF PRESSURE TREATED WOOD

YES, the SAME wood from when he was a TEENAGER. The guy is 34 now!

Doc said there is lots of scar tissue, and he's not touching it with a 10 foot pole (can't blame him). So off to the podiatrist we go. THEY say, you gotta have surgery. Given his past history, the amount of scar tissue, possible infection, and phobia of mixing doctors with feet, they want him asleep, or at least very heavily sedated. :dance3:

Poor DH is beside himself. He is trying not to show it, but he is scared to death. He is having the surgery in the podiatrists office Monday morning. He will be out of work on Monday, but he'll be going to work on Tuesday. He's worked it out with his boss that he will be cut boy (the guy who cuts all the wood). He will sit on his little stool and cut wood all week. He will ride an ECV at WDW< then upon return, he should be almost better.

What a pain in the buttocks. Poor guy, I wish I could make him not scared!

"Jiminy Cricket!!!! Will this EVER stop?!?!"

Thanks kind of where I am right now. Seems like one thing after another.
I just wanna go to Disney! World, leave me ALONE!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The other day, I had to go to DMV to renew my license (it expires next week). Now, I had tried to go the week before Christmas and do this crap, but while we were there my wallet was stolen. :sad2: while I was in line, leaving me with no renewal $$$. I know, I know, zip my purse. :sad2: Shoulda known better.

Anyway, we went to the DMV, and I actually CRIED b/c the renewal went off without a hitch! I have become so accustomed to everything being an ordeal! The lady at the window probably thought I was he kind of person who lets ONE of her personalities steal their OWN wallet from the OTHER personality!

DH is determined he won't use an ECV while we are at WDW. He doesn't comprehend the amount of walking you do every day. I am not going to push him, tho. Let him suffer if he wants to. :rotfl2: I have a feeling that, by day 2, he will be happily rolling along, laughing at us b/c our legs are tired!!

And now Ashe is saying he doesn't want to go to WDW!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Oh, reason, you say? He has no REASON, he just wants to stay here and play video games.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Truthfully, I think he is nervous about the plane and rides, etc./. He us just a nervous kind of young 'un. I told him we wouldn't make him do ANYTHING he didn't want to, other than ride the plane and go to WDW!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Once he gets there, he'll have so much fun, but he is just a HOOT trying to reason with me, while he should stay home!

We got back enough to pay off DH's truck 2 yrs early and a few little bills. The one and only reason to be happy for deployments to Iraq, pay is all untaxable income.
Now we will look much nicer to the loan approval people when we try to buy a house later this year.

I'm at work at lunch, then today when I leave work we're going directly to the campground so won't be on again until Sunday night. Have a great weekend!!!!

Hey Micki, that is some story! Poor DH, no wonder he is beside himself. I'd be scared to death too, he hasn't had a lot of good experiences with foot doctors. I can't believe taht wood was in there from when he was a teenager and now he's 34!Wow!!! Let me know how much they charge for the ECV at WDW as I may be needing one myself when we go in October.!!!!

Have a great weekend!!!!:)
