Why: Why Not! An Unofficial DIS Fan Friendly Get together

Hi Everyone -

After previous posts from everyone we've decided to hold our unofficial, official Drink Around The World Meet on 12/12. Since many of us will be at Disney World during Mousefest this is a good time to plan a get together. The other detail are listed above.

This is an informal get together of anyone who wishes to attend who are fans of the DIS and the DIS Unplugged.

We will start at the Margarita bar at the Mexico pavillion and work our way around World Showcase stopping at some of our favorite watering holes while getting to know each other and discussing our favorite podcast. We may even decide to watch Illuminations and head over to Jellyrolls afterwards.

If you plan on attending please post your intentions here. I'll keep a list of those who plan to attend on this thread. We look forward to seeing you there.

Go to the World Showcase, start at Mexico and then try every drink there is from each country.

Do research....

So you can tell us what drink is good or not so good or disgusting....

We have an ADR at Coral Reef at 7.05pm but should be able to meet up for a quickie before hand

I guess if anyone is planning on staying for the EMH we may join up again I may need an early ish night tho as Sat will be quite busy and another late one

Ok...I won't mark you on the list, but if you see us make sure to trip one of us. That should really break the ice.

What is the rule of drinking beer and liquor? Which one is ok first? Since we are starting with liquor (margaritas in Mexico) does that mean we can't have beer in Germany and then a slushie in France? And then where does wine fit into this? I'm soooo confused!!!

Beer before liquor...never sicker!

Basically, you can drink whenever and wherever you want. You know your body better than anyone so you can decide how much and what type of alcohol to consume. You certainly don't have to buy a margarita in Mexico. You can wait until we get to Germany for a beer and pretzel. I may do that myself.

I think the wine fits in at Italy and France.

Well the problem is it has been a while since I have done a DATW type of venture and don't know how a "29" year old stomach handles things anymore. All I can remember from my younger days in I can't do a creamy drink and then beer. Still have bad memories about that one.

And the last thing I want is to be known as the DISser who puked around World Showcase and have my name changed to Puke Girl.
