I ate at Bryan Voltaggio's restaurant
Volt last night. It was ok. Maybe a little too fancy for my liking.
It was restaurant week so here is the menu we got to choose from:

Appetizers:
DBF - marvesta farm cold poached prawns jasmine rice, yellow doll watermelon, crystal lettuce
- they came with the heads as decoration!
)
Me - cherry glen farm goat cheese ravioli lobster mushrooms, soybeans, flowering chives
- It was better than I expected. I had never had goat cheese before.
Dinner:
Both - pineland farm beef flat iron summer creek farm yukon gold potatoes, tomatillos, whipped garlic, coriander
- I'm not sure where the potatoes were. The beef was most excellent though.
Dessert:
Both - textures of chocolate milk chocolate ice cream, raw organic cocoa, white chocolate mousse,chocolate caramel
- Awesome!
I had Kona coffee with mine and DBF had tea.
The service was really good. I was offered a shaw in case I was cold. I got a kick out of that.
All in all, I'm glad we went however, I have no real desire to go back. If I'm going to spend that much money on dinner I want a nice big filet and crab cakes!
I do wish him well in the compeition though.
