***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

trying to find that out myself. We had our west coast streamer record the fireworks last night and while he did a great job live streaming and posting on youtube he's not a huge SW fan so he didn't ask a lot of the important questions :D I sent him a pm to see if he noticed the Batuuese reacting to the fireworks.
He also went over to the Resistance area and asked the CM when would the ride be open and the CM gave him a confused look and said "what ride" he got a bit annoyed with that answer and I'm all like "YES stay in character CM"
I really hope they don't "dumb down" the Batuuese backstories and interactions.
He also got Vi Moradi getting captured by the first order and he thought it was just a guest o_O needless to say I can't wait to go and live stream for myself
Anyways if I get an answer I'll post here

I have an evening reservation on Tuesday so will try to feedback.

I might go with "my young padawan"? Don't younglings turn in to padawans? @yulilin3 ?
(getting my nerdy glasses on) a Padawan is a child who is Force sensitive, who is getting trained to be a Jedi, so a kid doing the Jedi Training might go in as a youngling but emerge as a Padawan.
But it all works for me. Over at Savi I'm sure they are calling kids Padawans.
I'm not sure if they have signs for stroller parking but they are supposed to use youngling transport, as lingo for strollers

I knew there was a technical distinction- which is why I made sure to check with the expert. :worship: I still think it would be fun calling my own son "my young Padawan"! (Or even more so if my husband would be doing it...)

Really hope they don’t dumb down the language (at least not until I’ve been :worship:)

They have younglings in the Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons so not sure what their beef is? It’s widely used in the universe.

Can anyone tell me, I know in the Harry Potter areas in Universal, the staff stay in character. Has that been eased since opening or remained much the same? I only have a very basic knowledge of that fandom but think I would still enjoy it even if I had to scratch my noodle a bit to try and figure out what they were saying

it all works, it's YOU Star Wars story....I use young padawan repeatedly with my DD18 and my DS23. "When is dinner going to be ready" "patience my young padawan"

yes, it has been lax. Some Team Members will stay in character while others simply don't care or don't bother. My son was a stage assistant for the shows at Diagon Alley and they gave them a huge book to study all the lingo and role play. At the beginning, the opening team was excellent in staying in character but I assume as they hire new people maybe the training isn't as focused?

🤓

Honestly padawan works, but for all we know someone would throw a tantrum over it.

It was a little offsetting when my DS10 referred to my as "my master". I had never once ever told him to call me that...and I am so glad that he didn't do that in a public place of non-SW people!!:darth::scared1:

I use "padawan" with my kids if I am working on a project or teaching them something. Like if we are building Legos or something and they build something on their own I'll say "good work, young padawan"

I understand there is a new soundtrack made specifically for SWGE. Is the music playing throughout the land or in specific locations? Is there separate musical themes for the Resistance forest vs. the Marketplace?

It’s not played throughout the land. I’m not sure where it’s played specifically but much of the land has sounds like Pandora. You can hear creatures, or ships taking off and stuff like that.

I read about the ships and wonder if the sound is synchronized to replicate a traveling ship? I would just go crazy if I heard "the" tie fighter scream coming across from one side of the land to the other.

I believe that is what happens - I read a few reports of people saying the noise of ships would be heard an people would look up looking for them (not sure if specifically the tie fighter noise/screech or just "generic" ship noise

Hoping in the future Disney could deploy transparent large nighttime screens over portions of the land and projection map the ships flying overhead choreographed with the sounds <dreaming>.

Or better yet, just build functioning, flying TIE fighters!

Of course, I could be wrong, but if I had to venture a guess, I would assume that the nighttime fireworks at SWGE would be much better at DL than at DHS. Assuming that it would just be fireworks from the regular park show, with no audio, you have MK-style high-level fireworks at DL, and DHS lacks those, with the emphasis being the lower pyrotechnics to match the closeness of the projections on the Chinese Theater.
