Yes I saw this. And I checked out room availability at POP from end of August to December, and there was multiple availability.
Yes, I have been watching this. I have been surprised that they aren't booked. It makes me hopeful it won't be as insane as people wait for the entire land to be open.
It's definitely a mystery to me. With all the hype, I didn't think there would be availability at POP, especially with the possibility that the Skyliner will be running. Can't wait to read all the posts once the land opens.
I think between the phased opening of the two rides and the almost simultaneous openings on both coasts, there is a lot of built in crowd control. (Of course that is me being very hopeful because we are going the first week of September hahaha)Very interesting, especially when they expected a rush in reservations.

I looked for a cheap night or two on numerous low-crowd weekdays throughout Sept. and couldn't find anything open - except Aug. 28-30. A bit baffling. Is that "Free" Dining period? Makes me wonder if that's driving reservations more than SWGE.
I just randomly put in September 10 to 12 and there's a ton. ASM is available still at $129/night.
Me too, put in from Aug. 31st all the way to December 1st at POP, and there were plenty of rooms available.

ETA: Nope, I still see zero Values availability for 9/10-12, 9/22-24, etc. Weird.
Ah, really good point. We are probably a rather small sample of the overall population...still...it does make me wonder because when special offers come out, it's super hard to get them, even for those here on the boards.
I think everyone knows about Star Wars and its announcement. It was all over the news and GMA and various places. My mother, who doesn't follow Disney at all, texted me to tell me about it lol. Also, Iger said they aren't going to publicize it, no? That the marketing budget was minimal?
Incognito's all I ever use! I can find a single night at rack rate, but nothing for two nights, rack rate or discounted. Which is fine - I'd rather not stay onsite anyway, but it is interesting.
