Seeing the other beautiful room view reminded me that I haven't posted ours on here yet. I requested new section with a golf course view just from doing research. It was our first trip to SOG. We were very happy with our room and got to see wildlife everyday. Very quiet, too.

anyone care to assist me on how to post pictures? I can't believe I have so many posts, yet no pictures. I have a beautiful picture of the view from our last SOG room that I would like to post. Thanks in advance.

I don't know how others do it but this is how I do. You have to upload them to a photohosting site like Photobucket. once its uploaded, under the pic there will be choices for codes copyt the code for a "direct link" then here at this site on your post click the yellow square at the top of the reply that says Insert Image and a box will come up, you paste the code from Photobucket here, then finish typing your post and hit submit.

I hope that helps!

One problem some people encounter at first is that the photo file on their computer is very large, and simply throwing that into a DISboard post, can really make it difficult on the readers.

One thing I like about using Photobucket.com, is that they have an optional setting that let's you limit all your uploads (the files you load from your computer onto thier website) to a certain size, such as 640x480 pixels or 1MB (you have a few choices). See the red and yellow highlight box below. That way you can upload any file without having to worry if it is too big or not. The website will automatically resize it down to your pre-set limit if necessary.

Also, when I post a photo, I use a slightly different procedure from meriann above: when looking at my photobucket album, I copy the code field labeled IMG Code, and then just paste that into the post editor where I want to photo to be. No need to hit the yellow button at the top.

Again, hope this helps.

I tried using the image code a few times and it didn't work so I didn't think you could use it on these boards, thats why I do it the long way.

I will have to try again!

Thanks... I wish I had taken more of the resort!

We have something in common with our kids! My youngest is so close in size with the twins that people are constantly asking if they are triplets!

I think we just a floor below you. Almost the same view:)

A couple other pictures- back of the hotel- walking over the coy pond, just about to the remote control boats.

Gator in the pond walking towards Poly. Somewhere have a picture of another one in a little pond (not the coy pond, lol) behind the hotel.

Great pic's everyone. Can't wait till October. The picture with the gator in the pond makes me :scared1: I hate walking next to that pond even more so at night.

could you all post what /if any transportation companies you used to go from airport (MCO) to SOG? and did they offer car seats?

Thanks for the assistance with pictures.

This is the view from our last room. I am sorry, I don't know what the room number is, but if you are walking down the windowed corridor in the old section, go to the end of the hall and take a right. This is the corner room on the right side. Because it is a corner room, it does not have a connecting room on one side, which makes it pretty quiet. This is a second floor room, so it is level with the lobby. The only wildlife we noticed were ducks which came by daily at the same time. Being by the pool was not a problem. Even with alot of people in the "quiet" pool, it really was quiet in the room.

These ducks are looking to see if I have bread, which I did, during our 10 day stay.

Has anyone recently checked out the brick walkway behind the hotel? You can purchase a personalized brick in advance and have it added to the walkway. We have done this, but when we were there in 2006, the flying insects were so bad, we couldn't comment on our brick for fear of getting bugs in our mouth. Just wondering if the bug problem is still there.

DH and I have stayed at SOG twice now and loved it each time. Going back again this Nov and taking DH's family, we are interested to see if they love it as much as we do. :thumbsup2

We used Sun Ray and they were awesome. Using them again next week. Yes, they did have a carseat.

What great pictures! Thanks for posting them.

Are you referring to the love bugs?
