OP, Where are you finding the information on the times of the ROL shows? I have not been able to find them on anyf the Disney web sites I frequent.

I will be at WDW 05-17 to the 23rd. I am a veteran at Disney planning but this trip is giving me headaches! Last year I was so bummed out that we were going to miss ROL. I had no idea it would be delayed until Feb 2017! So ROL is on the top of my "to do" list. For the first time we are arriving in the middle of a week (Wed). If I am reading right, ROL will not run on Wednesday, May 17th. Is this correct? I have booked The Keys to the Kingdom tour for Thursday, May 18th, so planning to stay in MKP that entire day. I would like to go to AKP on Fr., May 19th. I would get a ROL dining pkg at Tusker House breakfast. When I tried to do this, it was only showing 1 show at 7:15! I am also a lifetime member of the Peter Noone fan club and want to be at Epcot for his 1st show there, Friday night, 5:30 PM. I was hoping to use Express transportation to leave AKP, go to Epcot and catch Peter's 1st show, get back on express transportation and go back to AKP for ROL but at a later time! Do you think a later time for ROL will open up for Friday, May 19th?

When I booked the dining pkg at Tusker House for April 30, the time for ROL originally showed as 7:15 also. But I figured it had to be later for darkness. Sure enough, looking on the schedule for ROL (the one Hopperfan linked to rather than the dining link) it shows 9:15 for both my night and yours.

I would expect them to change the time because ROL needs it to be dark and the sun doesn't set till 8:11 meaning it won't be dark till around 8:30.
Yep, see above post. And I checked, it's scheduled at 9:15.

It is posted on the ROL page, change the date and it changes the show times.

Thank you so much! The 9:15 PM show on May 19th will work perfectly for me! I was able to get an 8:00 AM ROL dining pkg at Tusker House! We will use our FP+ at AKP, leave mid afternoon and freshen up at our resort, head to Epcot for a quick bite to eat before catching Peter Noone's 1st show. That will give us plenty of time to catch the xpress bus back to AKP for ROL! That takes care of Friday! LOL!

We had dining package tickets last night for the 7 15 show and got our seats at 6 50. Granted it was tight and there wasn't much seating left, but for the 3 of us it worked.

Were you able to select from the full menu at Tiffins?

I have a feeling they'll add a second show during at least Avatar opening weekend because of the high crowds.

FWIW We have RoL package booked for late May and the confirmation says it's for the first showing. The link posted above for RoL where you can input your dates lists my date as one show at 9:15 - we are hoping that there will, indeed, be two shows and that we are reserved for the first show. I guess we'll find out closer to the actual date...

I'm sitting in the theater to see the show! This is a nice way to wrap up my three weeks straight of working.

The standby/dining package side of the theater looks almost full already. I'm sitting in the FP section.

I was just coming on to post the same info! We were in the dining/standby. Our TH waiter said that people were lining up to get into our section about half an hour early...Glad we didn't listen! Saw Nemo at 5, and were in our seats by 6:15. Definitely full by 6:40. I forgot to check the FP side, but it was full at 7 when I looked over.

We all (kids & adults) really enjoyed it.

A request to everyone posting timing for RoL regarding when they got in line and how full the queues were for FP/SB/ADR, etc.

I am very interested in this as will be others. It will be more helpful if you also post the show times that night. With multiple shows on a night and show times changing each month as sunset changes, it will be more helpful to readers if they know the show time you are talking about.

I believe everyone here in the last few days are talking about shows at 7:15PM.

Thanks!

Yeah, sorry, I was in for the 7:15pm show last night. I got in the queue for FP+ at about 6:10 since I got off Everest and saw there were people in line.

Really enjoyed the show. I felt like it was very well suited to the park.

My apologies if this has already been discussed on the thread and I missed it. A discussion on one of my Facebook pages about ROL FP came up with this difference on two dates. For Feb 28 (one show @ 7:15), the FP says to enter at the FP+ Entrance, and will be in the Asia Viewing Area (as expected). But someone else had a FP for March 19 (one show @ 8:45), and it says to use the Dining Package Entrance, but still in the Asia Viewing Area. Any reason for the difference?

I haven't read all of the comments but we were underinpressed. We did StandBy on the 18th and were seated toward the center of the viewing area. The people and images on the boats were hard to see and the bright lights that created the images on the water sprays were sometimes shining directly into our eyes.

Granted, it was a beautiful water show but the audio was not always clear. The water effects were nice but the lighted elements were not as dazzling as predicted. From all for the hype, we expected something different than lighted floats and water sprays. With the unclear audio, it was hard to understand the narrative, hence the storyline was unclear.

Also, the seating rises above the water so you are looking down on much of the show. I was behind two fairly tall men and was constantly peering around them. We saw Fantasmic tonight and I realized that most of that show is at eye level or higher, eliminating the problem of looking down at the show.

After RoL, we stopped to watch the Tree of Life awakening. That was unique and more impressive to us than the RoL show.

Totally agree with this entire post. We saw the 8:30 show last night. Had an average height girl in front of me with Minnie ears on and I had to move to my left a little to be able to see. I did love the music though. We also enjoyed the Tree of Life Awakening more.

It's probably a description error by Disney. So far, everyone has confirmed Asia Viewing Area as FP Seating. I would explain what really matters is the side - Asia Viewing - as opposed to how they enter that specific side (because right now there isn't a Dining Entrance there).

My husband went last weekend and his FP said the latter "Dining Package Entrance" but when he went there they directed him to the FP entrance. My guess is it's just an error. We're going Saturday and our 7:15 FP show shows as Asia Viewing Area when I look at MDE on a computer. When I look on my phone, it shows yet a third option - "Standby Entrance" but when I click on the FP and it goes into the actual FP it again shows Asia Viewing Area. I'll let you know Saturday!

Anyone know if ROL is synced with the "made with magic" light-up merchandise?
I would like to know this too.
As there are a few RoL specific "Made with Magic" items available, I'm assuming it's in place or will be in place, at the Discovery River Amphitheater.
Where will MwM work for IllumiNations?)
MDE says "all programmed to light up at key moments around World Showcase". I've observed it at the FP viewing area.
