Cold and dreary and I can't talk the kids out of Trick or Treating!
And I think my house is the worst it has ever been. I need to get it in order...it's absolutely driving me nuts now. I can't imagine coming home to this disaster!

Wifey id having the same dilemma. Shes so frazzled she probably ruined thw surprise I have deftly kept for 7 months.

Our DD ask to go on a playdate this week, and wifey said "no , we are too busy , maybe after Disney.....Er I mean after we go away this weekend" problem is we are not going anywhere this weekend......

The kids smiled real big at each other.....

They still are not sure about it but it probably wont be the big surprise anymore.....

Good thing I am off 3 days before we go....I will help clean the house and get packed , shes a jabbering mess right now. She needs this vacation more than I do!!!

I so wish I had even one day off before the trip this year! Thursday flights were a lot cheaper (and it meant another day at Disney) and I was lucky enough to get Thursday off. I work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Tuesday will be a 12 hour shift and we have school conferences for my son, and I myself have a midterm exam for grad school Wednesday! And the trip is a surprise so no idea when I'll pack everyone. Ok, more like no idea when I'll study since I'll be staying up late to pack when they go to bed!

Whoops, sent too fast.
My DH does NOT work Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, so I fully expect him to have the house spotless and himself packed!

Will you stop!!! You can't be that perfect! :rotfl2::rotfl2:
I"m seriously thinking I'm going to need to pack my husband and there is no way he'll be cleaning the house. I'll be lucky he gets the garage in order so that the generator is ready to go just in case there is a "problem" with electricity while we are away.

Sorry the slip happened with your DD. I'm sure even if they know, you will have plenty of surprises.

Again, really??? Where do these men come from? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

My husbands recent "responsibility promotion" at work has him working longer hours again. I"m lucky he comes home. I can't wait for vacation to see if I still like him. :confused3

Tomorrow is November!
Tuesday is our 25th Anniversary!
15 days and a sleep!

Today is cold, dreary, and rainy now.
The RedSox fans aren't noticing because they are falling asleep in their office chairs.

I got a little done on my house projects but lots more to conquere in the next 15 days. Just want to leave and feel organized when I come back. Lots to address over the next few months.

Happy Vacation to all that are already there and those getting ready to leave soon. Wahoooooo!:banana::banana::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Happy Anniversary! :flower3:

My 15th was two weeks ago, man that went by fast.

Cold and dreary and I can't talk the kids out of Trick or Treating!
And I think my house is the worst it has ever been. I need to get it in order...it's absolutely driving me nuts now. I can't imagine coming home to this disaster!

It was raining this afternoon, but then let up in the evening so the kids got to go out. My oldest got so many complements on his Yeti costume, he was sooo excited - in his don't show any emotion 13 year old boy way ;) My husband got home around 6 to take them out. He normally isn't home until at least 7:30 and more often after 9pm so it was a real treat. Last week the poor guy worked until midnight at least two nights and still had to get in for early AM meetings, which is really tough when work is over an hour away.

My house is pretty darn bad too, and I spent the ENTIRE day working on a friend's Disney plan - she leaves tomorrow and her plan was a mess. I even typed her up a detailed itinerary. I never thought I'd meet someone less organized than I am, but I have. Now I just need to put that much work into my own plan.

:rotfl:

Not a lot of trick or treaters tonight :( I have a full box of Disney cheese balls leftover. Guess I will put it aside for road snacks. I also made the kids give me four pieces of candy each to put in a box so when we stop for breaks and what not instead of pestering us for a gas station treat they can grab one from the box.

Thanks! And Congrats to you too. I was told tonight the average marriage lasts about 2 years now. I like to hope that isn't true but sooo sad that there are some that is true for. I'm glad to be in the rare for this one. Having special needs kiddo also makes the odds more impressive.

It was raining here just before Trick or treat started here. My husband usually works until after 6 with a 1 hour commute too. He informed me this new position will probably have him traveling after the new year. Pout Pout Pout. I don't like when he isn't here at night. Even thought I'm on the computer and he's in the other room, it still feels better to have him here. Same with my college son.

I've managed to get my down stairs reasonable. it's the upstairs that is unruly! Stuff everywhere. I need to fix that. But next week I have another dentist appt and a hair appt. I can't go to Disney without a haircut and highlight. My tiara would look weird.

You are a good friend to do that kind of work.

I resemble that remark.

LOL I put comment within the quotes and wasn't going to add anything here but it told me Ihave to add at least one character. I hope my comments show. LOL

You tell her that.... I think she forgets often....

They showed, but only one showed up in color. Oh well. I don't think my upstairs and downstairs can both be neat and tidy at the same time, it might cause a rift in the space-time continuum.

Well tell her she is not alone! I can't seem to get caught up! And tell her not to feel bad either. I would have blown it the first week after I had found out myself!
I have a free "Spa Day" this Saturday that I was lucky enough to be invited to, for caregivers of those with special needs (in my case, my DS7), and I hope I can relax enough to enjoy it and not be thinking about all the things I have to do.

Someone asked to see Halloween costumes. These are the Viking and Yeti costumes I made. I didn't make the Viking hat though, that was from the Warrior Dash I ran this summer.

Nobody can be that perfect. :)
Oh mine will definitely have the generator ready at least. He's nothing if not responsible. He is an engineer after all. :rolleyes2 He does plan on packing the night before, but hey, I doubt I'll get sleep that night anyway so I guess no big deal.
Love that last bit! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Trick or Treating turned out to be not to be too bad here either. Once we finally got the kids out of the house, that is. (sensory issues) I'm pretty sure it was the warmest Halloween we've had since my kids were born!
The dirty house welcomed us home....

My oldest told me that if I made a nice warm Halloween costume for him it wouldn't snow like the last few years. He was right, it was the warmest it has been for years.

Oh my goodness....they are sooo cute! The costumes too! ;) Would you please make our costumes next year!
I see you are up late too....

Thanks. Sure I'll make them, one year I made a penguin costume for a friend's son and he won first prize in the town parade. He was so excited. We weren't able to go to the parade so I think my boys were a bit jealous that someone else won from their mom's work. My oldest won first prize at a Halloween party last year for the Indian Jones outfit I made him.

I'm always up too late.

Just spotted Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes fast pass selections opened up for our trip the 3rd week of Nov!

Just spotted Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes fast pass selections opened up for our trip the 3rd week of Nov!

I was just going to post that I'd managed to snag MSEP and Wishes FP+ for Nov. 7! Finally! None available on party nights, in case you were hoping for that. Also still no Illuminations FP+ showing for me on 11/4, but it may be a Monday v. weekend thing.

We arrived last night at Pop. Happy to report that we have a refrigerator and it is working. We were also given KTTW cards at check-in, without asking, and were, in fact, told that we should keep them with us at all times, just in case. In fact, we never even got to the online checkin desk. A CM at the end of the queue area just asked our name, scanned the MB with an iPad and then brought the checkin package right to us (sadly, forgot our birthday buttons, though!). Done in less than 5 minutes!

I'm not sure if the MBs are being used on the automatic gates at the resorts. I have my MB on my left arm, so it recognized one or the other, but not sure which. So, you should still be getting KTTW cards. Does work on the hotel room door, though. I'll check on the MB resort gate thing tomorrow, since we're busing it today. I'll know if we can still pull paper FPs in a few hours, but the reports so far say we can.

MB was being used in Narcoosee's last night, though the waiter seemed a little tentative with it yet (in his 60s so that may have been the issue). Scanned fine on the second try. No card needed for our DP.

MNSSHP was sold out last night, of course. Tons of costumed people all over the place. Tonight's our party, so packing our costumes to change into after the afternoon parade. Ready to head off to Crystal Palace for breakfast! Enjoy your day!
