Does anyone think they will extend the closing hours at all? I am kind of bummed MK closes at 9! And if wishes is at 9 as well how does that work? Can we still ride rides and eat snacks while wishes is going on or will everything be closed?

I bought two in my last Old a Navy order too. I was only going to keep one but they fit so well, I kept both. I find that the Disney Store ones are cuter but they run small and I'm all about being comfortable in the parks.

Terri, I so agree! I bought medium shirts from old navy (I'm a bit top heavy ) and large shirts from the Disney store (and the Disney ones tend to shrink a bit more).

Hi all

Family of four heading to Disney on the 18th of November. My wife two daughters (3.5 and 8 months) are heading there along with my mother. My mom has been to disney in 31 years.

We are all really psyched. Most likely doing Epcot the night of the 18th, Magic Kingdom on the 19th, and Hollywood Studios on the 20th.

My 3.5 year old is super into Cinderella, Mareda, Rapunzel, and Toy Story. Any one have any tips or tricks for making sure we see those characters?

Any and all advice would be appreciated. Fairly certain we are bringing our own double stroller... but aside from that, open to any ideas!

Magic bands? Who here has customized theirs without getting an invitation email?

I called last week and a CM told me I could NOT customize(even though it was letting me) until I got an email inviting me to do so.....

I customized mine without an email or letter. Funny thing was: the day I received my MagicBands (which, of course, meant that the time to customize was over), I got the letter from Disney saying we were part of the test and to go on the website to customize. Uh....too little way too late. So, if I get a survey, that's something I'll mention.

The CM was incorrect; I would log on to the website and see if you can customize.

I'm staying at All Star music, nov 17-23. I also just requested to join FB group (Carrie Boarman )

We are staying offsite this trip because it was so last minute .. and had to be cheap, cheap , cheap !

We'll be there November 9th -15th.

For us, it was cheaper to rent a house in 2006 & 2007 than to stay on-site. But we're a but spoiled now and even a 10 minute ride from Disney is too far.

Please add us to this group! We are staying at POP.

We added a day and moved over to Coronado Springs to be close to friends. (Cheerleaders) 11/23-11/30. Is anyone else staying there that week?

I am hoping this will be the case. I'll let you know if I see any changes for my dates. As of now, there are only 2 pm EMHs the entire time we are there (I think). And that's disappointing, I'd really like time to play in the parks at night. We did that last trip: went to AK, then back to the room to nap (or relax), then we went to MK and stayed until 1am! It was awesome!!!


I can't believe all the new members! Too cool!!! I hope planning and packing and obsessing is all going well.

I had the same problem and eventually the MDE was fixed, but did you actually succeed in getting the BoG FP+? I think I did, but now I can't verify because that account is gone.

Is it awful that I don't want the hours extended? I know it sounds crazy, but I'm a night owl and will be tempted to stay to the bitter end. I am going to try to make this a more relaxing vacation and not run myself (and everyone around me) ragged.

Oh my! I thought it was just me. Here at home I stay up way later than I should and then can't get up in the morning. If they extend hours at night, I'll never make early morning rope drop times, never mind EMH.

I'm trying not to even look at the hours. I know when I went with my son, there was some nights the EMH had us in the parks until 2am. It was crazy. I know for a fact I WILL NOT be in the parks until that late.

Anyone else here in NE waking up excited today cause it's cold out and you know in just a few weeks you will be in FL with warmer temps?

I woke up this morning and didnt want to move cause the covers were so nice and toasty. My first thought was "oh I can definitely start some packing now".

Yikes! 2 am! leave those late EMH's for all you night owls. I am hoping we'll all be in bed by 10:30 each night! Not that I'm a morning person either, I just can't imagine how cranky my kids would be the next day.

Glad I'm not alone. I'm loving the colder weather here, especially after that weird weather last week. I coach soccer and my boys were dying on the field on Saturday. The humidity was killer. I've been afraid to start packing our shorts because we might still need them again.

Originally we were going to drive, but my DD really can't miss 2 weeks of her Sunday dance class, so we are flying now.

Is it too late to add Magical Express to my reservation? Can I do it online or do I have to call. I can't seem to find how to add it on.

Exactly! I was happy to see the early closing hours this year! It means we will actually get plenty of sleep and not get to the parks too late in the morning (two adults, no rope drops for us.). Although the paucity (my big word for the day) of EMH this year is really disappointing. I loved MK at 2am!

Oh, how I miss humidity. That's one of the best parts about visiting FL. We have an annual average about 30% here. Frequently in the teens during the summer. Actually up to 65% today because we got a touch of rain this morning!

Really? That is so strange. You know what, if no one is supposed to do it, then they shouldn't even have it on MDE! Silly Disney! I didn't get an invite but when I clicked on "Personalize Magic Bands" the window popped up for me to do it. It's not like we had to hack into the system or anything. LOL. Again, silly Disney!

I suspect that from an I.T. testing perspective they loaded everyone's accounts up front and then balanced their test load based on the invitation rollout over time. That will still probably work mostly the way they planned it, since DIS and similar forums are still only a small percentage of guests in the test. But it might increase the number of problems reported up front, since DISers are more likely to be doing more complex arrangements. So there might be lots of reasons why they would discourage people from jumping the gun that aren't related to whether it will work or not.

And given Disney's poor track record on emails, I certainly wouldn't wait.

As part of the test-and-adjust process for MyMagic+, pre-selected Cast Members have been invited to take part in a test that will simulate the experience for Annual Passholders. The test will be held October 9 - 16.
[*]Pre-selected Cast Members will act as Passholders during this test.
[*]Test participants will link passes to My Disney Experience, make FastPass+ selections and then visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where they will test park entry and FastPass+ redemption with Passholder cards.

I totally understand .. I prefer to stay on-site .. but am just so happy to be going. Our hotel is just 8 minutes from Magic Kingdom ! (I timed it last time we stayed here .. )
But I'll miss the Disney themed rooms.
