Sooooo, within 12 hours I've come down with a chest infection.
Fingers crossed (and toes) that is skips my kids or hits them shortly (terrible to say that but I'm just being realistic ).

Life is crazy around here. But I refuse to let it influence my mood and thinking and ruin the excitement of my up and coming vacation.



Hope everyone is able to minimize the germ contact and spreading.

I've been hearing about CM's doing that since the beginning, but it seems to be a random thing. The thing is that I have all the invite stuff from Disney and I read all the terms and conditions and not in one place does it say that in order to test the MBs and FP+ I have to give up regular FPs. It would be absolutely ridiculous for them to limit onsite guests (that pay more to Disney) to 3 while allowing offsite guests to have unlimited FPs. Not to mention the fact that there are still plenty of people who are having problems with the MB and FP+ so they need to be able to pull them if their bands aren't working without waiting on a line for 2 hours to get it straightened out. It is not double dipping to pull FPs with your KTTW card, it is double dipping (or even triple dipping) if people are also using AP or regular tickets or even old cards in addition to their KTTW card to pull more than they are entitled to for one day. I can't believe that people are even defending doing that. My old cards will be sitting at home where they belong, to get extra FPs with them would be like stealing them from someone else. To pull paper FPs with my regular (from this trip only) KTTW card would be the same thing I would be doing with KTTW card had I not been included with the test. I still don't understand why people think it would be OK to penalize people who are staying onsite by limiting them to less than offsite guests and I have no idea why people keep calling that double dipping. I pulled at least 7-8 FPs a day at MK, 5-6 at AK and HS and 4 at Epcot each day I was at those parks last time. I intend to pull the same amount this time (that includes the ones from FP+, not in addition to those).

If they are going to limit me to three I just won't go to Disney again. I don't do lines so it just won't interest me as a vacation destination. It would be one thing if it was nearby and I was just going a day here and there, but I'm not dropping 10 grand on a vacation to spend 8 days in lines.

This is stated perfectly. I never thought about it in those terms. If that's the way these vacations will be headed this is our last Disney trip.

No more sickies!!

DS has a virus and is missing soccer and his pumpkin hunt. I'm hoping he (literally) gets this all out of his system and stays healthy! DH and I have battled sinus crud (I'm finishing my round of antibiotics- good gravy, could they BE any larger?!) the past couple of weeks so I'm sure that's where DS got his cold virus from. We couldn't have been prouder of him yesterday. He's always had a hard time with doctor visits (likely because he has had three major procedures at such a young age- 9 days old, 3 mos old, 4 mos old and numerous cardiology visits). Even the ones where they just LOOK at him (ears, nose, throat, bp, stethoscope), we'd have to hold him down! When he heard me talking to DH about taking him to the dr the night before, he asked if he'd get a shot. Used to be, that question would have been squeaked out between sobs. This time? He asked, I answered (truthfully) that I wasn't sure but I doubted it, and he was good. I told him they'd probably put a q-tip in his nose and in his throat to check his germs and he thought that was funny (obviously forgetting the Great Flu and Strep Test of 2012- the Wails Heard Round the Great State of Texas!). At his appointment, he was a goofball in the waiting room, sat on the exam table (by himself!), answered her questions, acted silly and then SAT UP AND OPENED HIS MOUTH BIG so she could swab his throat! No tears. Two lollipops were awarded by our dr whose jaw was on the floor. So big. Yes, I had tears in my eyes. I'm a dork.

He's even taking his medicine now w/o bribery and being hog-tied. How can one be so excited yet so sad at the same time? He's growing up.

Ok. Here is to health, happy packing, and a great trip for all!!! Wash hands, eat your fruits and veggies, get off these boards and go to sleep at a decent hour and breathe and think of the Castle! Find your happy place and relax! WE'RE GOING TO BE THERE BEFORE WE KNOW IT Oh, and if you have a sick kiddo who insists on sleeping with (ON!) you, do your best to make them breathe their germs on the back of your head, at least. I have a crick in my shoulder from making myself sleep on one side just to avoid DS breathing in my face!

. Thank you! For the most part we are all packed and ready to go. Trying to relax and resist the urge to change plans a week out so I'm banning myself from MDE lol.

LOL!!! sounds like me!!! I think I must have changed my MB color 6x... I finally said don't go on cause u will change it again!!! I'm so excited for u! I think ur one of the first in our group to leave! R u going to attend MVMCP?

Ha! DS climbed me like a tree and nearly out-manned 3 adults last year. Whoo...their super-human strength is scary sometimes!! (He became the Hulk after getting ear tubes. Boxed me around the ears til I pretty much dropped him in the hospital lobby and took off, sprinting for the elevators to go back UP to the floor! Versed apparently makes him angry. You don't want to see him angry! )

There really should be an antibacterial pixie dust smiley on here

I have soooooo much to do before we leave and for some reason I am now trying to rework our entire touring schedule and dining plans! I don't know what's wrong with me. All of a sudden my plans look all wrong. I thought I had all my park days aligned with the "most recommended" days, but now they aren't. I'm not having any luck changing ADR's, which is no big surprise.

I think I'm just panicking.

yep that's what I was trying to do I gave up hope trying to change ADR's I thought I had my days picked out to the recommended parks and somehow it has changed
