Also anyone using FP+ for shows or meet and greets vs rides? My kids are young, my husband and mom won't go on too many thrill/popular rides. I will probably go on Everest but will have ot go alone. Don't want to waste the passes, anyone know how they will work for say finding memo show at AK and meeting Mickey at town hall?

Do yu think we need the passes for the last lion king show or Nemo? Would love to not wait in long lines for those, although they are big loaders so might not be necessary?

Darn I thought I had this all figuredut it now that I am trying to do FPP I am confused

I am doing FP+ for all of us--with some minor exceptions. We don't want to split up, since we are a party of 3.

Day 1 - HS in the evening
Toy Story Mania
Muppet Vision (will change this probably)
Fantasmic
-We'll be at MK in the AM and will wing it (our 1st day, early AM ADR)

Day 2 - AK in the morning
Kilamanjaro Safari
Festival of the Lion King
Kali River Rapids (not sure if DS will do this or if it will be too cold)
-We'll be at EPCOT at night and don't plan to FP+ anything there

Day 3 - MK in the morning
Buzz Light Year's Space Ranger Spin
Peter Pan's Flight
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
-May change them (not Peter Pan) to character meets instead; dinner at EPCOT again

Day 4 - AK all day
Kilamanjaro Safari (again)
Expedition Everest (put all 3 names, but just for me)
Finding Nemo Show

Day 5 - HS in AM/MK in PM (did FP+ for HS)
Disney Junior Live on Stage
Star Tours
Toy Story Mania

That last day HS is an early AM EMH and we will be there at 8, so if we can do FP+ later for the Electrical Parade at MK, I may switch it up. Otherwise we're happy with the plans.

Not very likely, but you can always hold out hope I guess. You were able to get the all numerical confirmation code right? The problem starts once you get in to the system? Technically you would have two numerical confirmation codes, one for the first resort and one for the second, did you try both?

I really don't think you have to worry about the MBs, so what if they arrive 10 days later, you will still have them in plenty of time, plus I read about people who got them because of the second part of their split stay and it still worked for the first part of their stay. Your magic band is tied to you, it will recognize everything that is reserved under your name, it seems like only the customize date is tied to a specific check-in date.

I have an all numeric reservation # from AoA room only and the code included in the check-in url from my POR reservation. I have tried both with both my name and my DH's name. I'm going to try again in a minute. I'll let you know. : )

I cannot decide between pink and yellow for me. My first instinct was pink but then I saw a yellow band with little minnie bow jibbitz and it was pretty darn cute..


Finally!! The last thread I was very active on (Sept 2011) was very busy so I kept waiting for this one to pick up the pace. Magic Bands sure helps!!

I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the whole MB FP+ thing. I know some people don't like the idea of planning so far in advance but I am loving giving my day a basic outline. It will alleviate some of the 'OMG HAVE TO GET THERE OR ELSE WAIT IN A LINE FOR 60 MINUTES' anxiety. Not that, uh.. I would know what that was like or anything
I feel like some of my choices would be considered a 'waste' but I am having a good time.

Favorite by far was the Fantasmic! I wasn't planning on doing it because I am not the kind to wait in line for an hour so this is awesome. I am seriously on a Disney high right now

I chose Pink but thinking about changeing to orange or yellow I wish the purple had been available

Ps have to say I HATE having to plan the FP+ without input from my mom and husband. My husband kind of looked at it last night but isn't really into figuring it it. I am afraid of making the wrong choices and having bad plans or having them complain. I have to remind myself I have asked for input many times and if they don't like it they are it of luck, right?

Right, if you refuse to help plan you don't get to complain. I just made my kids have a sit down with me to help me plan so I don't feel it is all on me. I'm really going to need to pull paper FPs in MK though, 3 is definitely not enough there.

You're welcome, I've been playing around with it incessantly. I want to be prepared for changing things on the fly the day of. I can't wait to see what is available for day of changes now that all the resorts will be online for November.

I'm so excited about Fantasmic and TSMM, I can't stop smiling. TSMM ruined our HS day last time. They ran out of FPs by 10:30am (we were late because of broken glasses). The standby wait later in the day said 90 minutes, but it took over 2 hours. My 10 year old had to pee so bad when we got near the end of the line, but after waiting so long he figured he wasn't going to miss the ride then so he suffered through the ride. We went straight to the bathroom from the ride, but he was in pain and wound up wetting himself (doesn't formally have issues, but there is only so long someone can hold it.) By the time we bought him clothes and got him cleaned up, the line for Fantasmic was so ridiculously long that we left. I did not want to go through that again.

HI all! I don't see my name on the list so I must not have checked in previously. This trip was very much up in the air until this week, so I haven't been active (didn't want to get too involved just to not go).
I changed resorts yesterday and was somehow able to get into POR this late (with FD). I'm so excited, I love POR. After I did that I checked back in and saw that I could do my MB and FP choices! I do wish they had purple, but I went with orange (DD-pink, DS-blue, DH-red).

I'm dying to know if it works for you, I'm feeling very protective of my November peeps, I want us all to be set. I am home today if you want to call me and try to do it together. Yup. I snagged both of those too! Trying to finalize the 3rd. Not sure if it would be worth using a FP+ for Dis Jr on Stage or not. I assume that would be better seating? All 3 of my kiddos would like that. If not, I would probably just use I for Voyage of LM, which I hear is not that great anyway.

Yes, I did see the Mickey at MK option, but didn't choose it. However, I did choose a meet & greet with Rapunzel and Cinderella on Thursday because I figured those lines are gonna be long. I would have liked it if we could have chosen Illuminations or Wishes for anything other than a weekend night....that was the only frustrating thing we ran across.

Hubby is not liking all the planning in advance and, to a point, I agree. BUT....I know I will be able to manipulate the FP times when we're down there or choose another ride/option. The vacation will be what we make it. I truly do not want to spend time looking at my watch going "but now we have to go across the park to Space Mountain". We'll figure it out.....

They just don't seem set up for the whole split stay thing at this point. Even though a lot of people seem to do it on these boards, I don't think it is a very common thing to the rest of the visitors. It would never have dawned on me to do something like that before I read about it here. Now you can have more band colors too!

The reason I did a split stay is that I knew my younger 2 would LOVE AoA but thought that it might be sensory overload for my ASD boy after being in the parks all day. We are staying one night there at the end of our trip and plan to stay at the resort all day instead going to a park. A CM on the phone suggested it actually.

I actually enjoy watching it, it's so clever at times. So much better then what I had to endure when my oldest was little.

It definitely has to do with your kids' ages. When my oldest was 7 he totally enjoyed little kids shows and thought it was perfectly normal to watch Dora and Diego, now that my youngest is 6 though he prefers shows like Good Luck Charlie and Dog with a Blog. The youngest always grows up too fast :-(

That is cool that the CM suggested it, I tend to do everything on the computer and I probably miss out on some good suggestions by not calling. I don't think my FIL would have liked switching though.
