***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

We go on our first night every trip. It's our family tradition and it's always a great time. As you can see from my name I'm Irish. First generation and the only American in my family of 7. My parents were born and raised in Cork, and my 4 siblings. Then they moved to America and I was born 5 months later :) I like to take my kids to RR so they can experience a part of their heritage :)

Yes, I guess I suspected you were Irish. : )
When I say Irish takes over, I mean it. I don't know what DH would have done if I had not agreed to Irish names for the kids. Even the dogs are Killian and Tullamore Dew! We've also had roosters (rescues, don't ask) named Murphy and Guinness! I truly am Irished out! Good thing I didn't strongly identify with my Brit heritage. LOL!

Yes, under reservations in the resort section you should see it. It lists the resort, the dates, the number of guests and then it will say you have the dining plan.

Mine doesn't!!!!

When I hover over the circle with the i in it next to the view details I see this:
Only a portion of your vacation package details are listed here. To view complete details of your vacation package, please check your confirmation which you received either by mail or email.

So I would not panic and go back to your confirmation email instead.

Hey

Thanks!

I'll try to find that. This is what I get when I click on Fast Pass

Did you link your resort and tickets to your MDE account? If you booked over the phone or with a travel agent you will have to link them yourself. You can actually click on the words that say "My Disney Experience" and then you will see all over your dates listed with your plans (like ADRs and eventually FP+). To the right you will see something that says "here's where to start" and under that you will see choices that tell you to personalize your magic bands and make fast pass selections. You can also do what Rejoyce said and hover over the words "My Disney Experience" and then make sure your choose the words in the white box to the left that say fastpass+ not the ones in the blue box that say that (that is the learn about side). As I said though, your resort and tickets need to be linked for FP+ (you only need a resort for MBs).

On a funny note when I clicked on MDE tonight I finally got the popup telling me to make FP+ and to personalize my MBs - they've been done for 2 weeks now and I only have 3 days left, but at least I got some notification. Granted I probably would never have hit on that button if I wasn't answering your question and I wouldn't be answering you question if I didn't already know all about MBs and FP+.

Looks like we will be at some of the same parks on the same day!!! Here's to sunny and happy days :)

I assume that means we ended up with similar schedules too! It seems like ages ago that I was trying to figure out which days to hot which parks. ..,

I'm totally American!! Although technically mostly German and English, I never bonded with either one. I've found though, that if someone has a drop of Irish blood in them, they are somehow completely Irish. ??? I am clearly Irish just by marriage, although I have an Irish first name. I think people tend to choose a nationality, other than American because it is something fun to celebrate. Hey, we have to celebrate our differences too!

I'll let him know! It's funny, people either love or hate the bagpipes. There's no in between.
And actually, DH is 1/4 Italian too, although he will never bring that up voluntarily. Whats up with you guys? the Irish really does take over!
They do make cute babies though. : )

Well I LOVE the bagpipes!

It is true, Irish does tend to take over - strong genes? Maybe it is because of their reputation on being friendly and slightly drunk that makes people want to identify with them ;)

Really? Weird. Mine lists it above the little i. Did you book online? I did, and I booked a complete package, maybe that is why my stuff all shows up.

Good thing you didn't, ever hear the song "The Orange and the Green" by the Irish Rovers? One of my favorites.

I met someone else online who rescues chickens so I actually don't think it is that weird.

As for the Irish names, I really wanted Kieran and Patrick, but I dated a Kieran so that was out and my hubby didn't want our son to be called Patty. I did get Patrick as a middle name though.

These are our park days for November:

17 - DTD
18 - MK
19 - AK
20 - MK
21 - HS
22 - EP

My original reservation was booked on Line in January but when free dining came out I called and whined that I've been planning this vacation too long to not get Free dining magic added. So she brought the bad news to me that I had to leave FQ and go to CSR. I sighed and said ok I'll save the $700+ and move. pout pout

I really hope CSR lives up to my expectations. I know FQ would.

Oh ya and the CM said to me "Well aren't you like most guests that you won't be at the resort much and mostly in the parks? Does it really matter where you sleep?" Um lady! Sorry your job has you missing the whole point of magical experiences based on an individuals likes and dreams.

So ya to make me feel better I booked a reservation with the new discounts for February at POR. Still not FQ but at least closer.
Again I hope CSR lives up to my expectations for Disney. :flower3:

So to answer your question, I guess my package was booked not online but the phone cause she had to move my resort and I couldn't do that on my own via online.

I just thought of something & I hope someone can answer. I have Fantasmic FP & show is at 6:30, park closes at 8 on our day & what I'm wondering is, will we be able to see the Osborne Lights? I really want to do both as DH & DD didn't want to do Fantasmic last year because they didn't want to wait 60+ mins to get in. We've never been during holiday season & really want to see the lights. Please say we can do both.

That's my plan!!
From my understanding the lights go on at dark. Dark that time of year is 5pmish. Fantasmic is about 30 minutes long. Which means you will have an hour to walk over to that area after. So with FP+ you have about an hour before and an hour after to check out Osborne lights. I'm hoping to catch them before or catch them during HS EMH when we leave MK because that is not our MVMCP night so I understand I'm being escorted out of MK when my Crystal Palace dining is over around 7:30. ;)

So I wouldn't panic over not seeing them.
Honestly I've never seen them so I have no idea besides a bunch of lights, what to expect. and I assume I'm not going to need 2 hours to see them.
Anyone want to correct me go for it.

The Lights stay on for quite a while after the park's official closing time- they really want to give people a chance to see them after Fantasmic ends. You should be able to see them either before or after Fantasmic with no problems.

We usually spend 30-45 minutes just hanging out watching the Lights and enjoying the music and atmosphere. You will love it- it is so much more than just a bunch of lights. Hard to describe the WOW factor to folks who haven't experienced it yet.

Yay, I also got mickey mail today!! Our anniversary schedule I think: 14th: miniature golf, dtd 15th: Epcot 16th: check out resorts, dtd, 6:30 carriage ride at Fort Wilderness Campground 17th: watch nascar race in room then MVMCP 18th: HS, dinner at Sci-Fi (never been), Osborne Lights
We are eating dinner at Sci-fi on the 18th as well! What time is your ADR? Ours is 4:30ish?

We'll be doing the same thing. I was told by people that work there that the lights will be on for almost an hour after the official close so we will have plenty of time to enjoy the lights after Fantasmic.

Well sunset in Orlando mid-November isn't until 5:30, and I heard the lights go on closer to 6pm. Even with the FP+ you won't have time to see the lights before the show, but you will have plenty of time to see them after. I heard that you should give yourself a good hour or more if you like to see all the details. There will be photographers there to take your pictures and you'll want to experience the snow and see the the lights dancing to the music (I think that happens every 20 minutes or so). Santa Goofy might be there too.

I think we will be staying till close on the 18th!

Good, I'm so excited to see them, my kids will freak out.

SNOW? Why do you people keep using that word? SNOW in FL?!!! I'm going to get away from snow. Ok so maybe November is too early to get away from it but.........:) I will never admit I'm looking forward to snow.
Maybe the non accumulating kind won't be as bad. I just can't get over the fact that snow is such a big deal. :confused3

Bummer on the lights not going on until later. I'm going to have to try to get to EMH then on the 17th cause I'm leaving right from Fantasmic to go to Cape May for an 8pm Dinner reservation.

Considering we've had snow for the last 3 Halloweens I don't think it's too early to be looking to get away from it, but I LOVE snow and I never try to get away from it. Snow with all those lights sounds amazing, even if the snow is just bubbles.

I'm not positive on the exact time the lights go on, but I do know that the sun isn't going to set on November 18th until 5:31pm - they are closer to the equator there so their day is a bit longer.

Can someone help answer a question? I made the mistake of ordering a carry on bag online and I did not read the exact measurements I just assumed since it said carry on it was the right size. I have never even been in an airport let alone on a plane so I don't know the proper flying procedure :confused3 but im flying AirTran and they say carry on size is 24 inches long X 16 inches wide X 10 tall. my bag is 22 in long X 11in wide and 12 in tall  will this still be considered a carry on since its smaller overall. its a soft rolling duffel :sad2:
