***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

I'm still hanging onto the head cold thing. Getting sick of the airplane ears. LOL

I'm sure it won't be long people will be selling them on Ebay. :)

Our landing was awful with the colds. My ears hurt so bad I wanted to cry. The left ear felt plugged for a week (it has scar tissue from lots of ruptures as a child). My DD had a rough time too. She screamed the entire descent. The flight attendant came to check on her and confirmed it was a rougher than usual landing with the pressure, even without a cold.

Will have to check eBay. Has anyone posted a picture on here of the USB?

We got our statement in an email the morning of our check out. And I think the day before we got an email saying we would just get an email statement and not a paper one. We were at AoA

Ours was emailed. I have not opened it yet. :O

Loved your update! I do the same thing with the ME paperwork to and had to dig it out of the carry on.
Real quick comments on my ADR opinions since the kids are needing attention soon. : ) I LOVED Tony's. That was our only last minute plan change sit-down and it turned out to be one of our best. I also was not super crazy about 'Ohana, although I think DH really liked it. He also preferred Tusker to Boma breakfast (not that it was not excellent too) so pay him no mind. : ) Chef Mickey dinner was o.k., I am just not crazy about the atmosphere.
Dinner at 1900 was really good too. Loved the stepsisters and enjoyed the Asian flare to the food. Glad we got to see the gingerbread house.
I also loved Crystal Palace and it will have a very special place in my heart now. We went on our 4th night and until that night our autism spectrum son (as we figured) wanted nothing to do with the characters. We always seated our autism spectrum son toward the back away from the characters and let him stand back in the parks when his brother and sister were visiting with anyone. Well, Pooh came visited with other 2 and left, Tigger approached shortly after and after they got their books signed and picture taken, he leans over and said he wanted a picture with him. We let him out and Tigger must have sense our excitement about it and was so wonderful. He had my boy smiling and laughing with his head thrown back as relaxed as can be....holding hands and bouncing in a circle with him! I'm starting to cry again just thinking about it! I will never forget the dat Tigger got my boy over his anxiety of characters....

I don't think it was you that sat next to us at Ohana, but the table next to us had a young guy on the spectrum with headphones on and when they brought him a birthday cupcake, no one was allowed to sing Happy Birthday. I commented to the dad that my son was like that too and he said "Autism" and I said "yes 21....almost 22". The dad was kind of almost surprised to hear I had a some almost 22. Not sure if that means I look young or he maybe thought Autism was outgrown. I'm sure it was I look so young. :rotfl2:

Glad Tigger made a difference. Did you son do better the rest of your trip with characters? To be honest, I got so wrapped up watching the characters interacting with other people's kids, it didn't matter mine were not there, I was crying often so happy for those kiddos. That was very magical for me.
You should have seen me in Enchanted Tales with Belle. I had all I could do to fight back the tears. I felt rather stupid but it was beautiful.

I think I stared crying at Animal Kingdom over the Nemo musical. I felt like such a sap.

Thanks for the reminder to check my statement. I am not sure when/where my tour was billed. I only biefly saw the statement and laughed how low it was, but that was because I had to physically use my card for discounts. That wasn't as pretty.

I would but don't know how to post a picture.

Enchanted tales was pretty cool for us. DS got to be Beast and watching him dance with Belle was pretty cool. And then when the other kids got to take their picture with her, my DD (2 years old) ran up to her so hard she almost knocked her over. Everyone laughed. Photopass got some amazing pictures of her looking up at Belle in pure awe.

And I did the same thing with the DME paperwork last year so had learned from my mistake and had it out and ready. I understand the panic though!

We took our 5yo , 4yo & 2yo for 8 days (nov 11-18) stayed at poly. Swore this would be our last Disney trip for a few years because it's soo expensive and we've been 3 years in a row. Just rebooked for nov 2014 :) hahaha

I can relate. I feel addicted to the idea of being down there. Last week when I wasn't feeling good I was wishing I didn't book my shortened version vacation in February, but now looking at pictures and thinking about the looks on the kids faces (not my kids, all of you around me) I'm looking forward to a slow pace return for a solo trip. Glad you enjoyed your trip enough to rebook for next November. :)

Nope. Wasn't us, but we don't sing Happy Birthday either. : )
He was great after that with all the characters and wanted to collect all their signatures although he still was afraid to hand them the book himself. He also wanted to be in the pictures with all of them after that...including the princesses! Yay!
I did end up having to choose between the Nemo and Lion King shows at AK ( it rained and my kids do not do well in rain) so I did not get to see Nemo. It will be first on my list next time. Everyone loved Lion king though.
I also never got to sneak over to EE because the kids were having an off day. The dinosaurs at the top of the slides in the play area that periodically make noise frightened my boy and it took us awhile to recover. That's were they were going to hang out while I ran over to EE. Oh well, next time.
The only coaster ride he tried was Test Track. I was shocked when he asked to as earlier in the day he started screaming at that last bit on Figment. He kept his head on my lap the whole time, but did the whole thing without screaming, so I consider that excellent!

It's so great when you see progress!!
How did DH do? Is he less resistant to the idea of such a trip now?
Glad to read your success and can relate to the rain thing. My guy doesn't like getting wet at all. Not even beach or pool. Bummer since my inlaws have a house in York Maine that we could go almost any time we wanted. He won't even walk the beach with us. pout.

Oh well we take life as it comes and enjoy what we can.
Our happiness is measured by what we find to be Joy and just cause it might be different than other people's journey doesn't mean it's less important.

Just got back from the "Sequel" of Thanksgiving at my mother in laws house.
My sister in law pulled out the game Buzz word. My son didn't want to play but he was willing to read the cards and express his sense of humor. I call it his "Alex voice". It's an imitation of the character Alex on the movie Madagascar. There is a trivia game that Alex is the "host" and my son makes comments similar to that game. It's quite fun to listen to his comments. Makes us all smile and many times laugh.

Dreary weather here today. Can't wait to see sunshine again. Even if it is cold.

Was bumming last night when we were looking over the photopass website and realized you can no longer upload pictures from your camera. The only way is if you are loading them into a project to pay Disney even more. I feel that if we bought the CD we should have the option to upload pictures and add boarders. Real bummer.

Today I'm finally getting caught up again on the DISboards.

RejoiceoverDisney - I'm glad to read that you are feeling better again now. Thanks for your report which was fun to read. We had a breakfast ADR at 'Ohana and also had a long wait to be seated. But the hostess who I went up to in order to inquire how much longer it might be before we would be seated was very nice. I did tell her that my husband requires protein fairly soon after getting up or he experiences medical issues and that he was in their waiting area snacking on the almonds we had from our backpack trying to make it through our delay. We were buzzed within 5 minutes of that conversation. I had also made note of dietary concerns on our ADR and they were prompt in learning about them and customizing our meal for us. Our grandson enjoyed that character interaction too so it turned out great after a shaky start.

BTW, I received my FP+ CD 2 days after ordering it. I have yet to find the time to get some prints made but will make the time this week. My favorite place to make prints has the 4x6's on sale this week.

Did anyone else drive into 10" of snow the day before Thanksgiving like we did? Our daughter lives in southwestern lower MI and gets lake effect snow.

Please keep your 10" of snow in MI. We don't need it in MA. :sad2:
Only seen a dusting of snow so far and I'm happy with that.

I love reading about everyone's trips and the experiences of the kids! I too love watching my own kids experience Disney but others as well! I also chuckle at the funny things kids say in lines waiting.

I wish I had time and decent pics for a trip report!

I'm missing Disney. It's been a 3-5 year thing my whole life but lately I dream of making it annual somehow. We do plan on going next winter but we shall see. As many of you know, the economy is not the best right now.

I saw Frozen this weekend. Fantastic movie (and way to keep the fun Disney vibes going)!!!

Thanks for the report in on FROZEN. I'd like to go see it. Wish I would have remembered it was out and gone this weekend. Oh well, I'll get there eventually. And it will probably be added to the DVD library.

We are every other year people but are trying to think of ways to make it annual too. I am such a dreamer I already started reading the Nov 2014 thread.

Frozen was GREAT and I agree it kept the magic going. Felt like we were back at Akershus.

Hey guys! Just wanted to send an update!! Last week was great. Tried MK last Wednesday and it was a joke, so we skipped the fireworks that night. Thanksgiving dinner at Cape May was great! My kids LOVED breakfast at Ohana! The food was so filling, we really enjoyed it and will definitely go back! Friday nights dinner at California Grill was excellent. Filet was cooked perfectly and the sundae sampler dessert was so good!! Have been to AK, HS and EP with short lines, even walked on many rides. Going back to HS later tonight, kids pick. Temp supposed to be 84 on Thurs. so we are hoping for our first pool day!! its been so chilly and windy! Anyone else still here? I keep looking for the green Mickey heads with no luck!! Happy others had a great time!!! Loved reading everyone's reports! Will check in again soon!!

This group has been very very quiet. I don't think I've seen a report in from our favored techno guy that gets all our husbands in trouble.
How did the Tiara crew do and were the other princess' jealous?

Finally back on my feet, and even felt good enough Friday - Yesterday to get my Christmas shopping done. Now I can focus on planning my February trip.
That one will be a breeze since it's 4 days I only have to pay attention to what I want to do and see. giggles. At first I was feeling selfish but after the past 2 hours of reality, I'm ready to go. POR here I come.

Hope everyone is surviving the back to reality challenge.

Maybe we aren't surviving being back to reality!

I keep meaning to look for the November 2014 group but since we aren't 100% sure we are going, I haven't. And I'm sure the members arent as cool as you all are ;) .

DH called Disney merchandising today to get the Magic Kingdom Storybook that was on the Disney Parks blog a few days ago. I am really excited about that. It probably won't be here in time for Christmas though. I told him not to upgrade to air shipping as it cost more than the book! But I did have him order me the Mickey coffee scoop I had wished I had bought when we were there! I wanted him to get the Mickey ice cream bar t-shirt too but he said he'll get it next year when we are there. (IF we are there, but hearing him say that gets me excited that he has bought in to the idea!)

Hoping our photopass cd comes soon. I am almost done with my class this semester and taking next semester off so I'll finally have time to work on the trip scrapbook! I want to make each kid a smaller book of their own pictures too. But the first thing I will do when the CD comes is make a copy and back it up! I lost last years CD :( (actually the computer repair shop did but that's another story). I had all the pictures on shutterfly so they weren't gone forever, just harder to get at.

Our weather is crappy. Been rainy all day and now the temp is going to drop below freezing. Will be a mess in the morning getting to work. And it's going to get below zero tomorrow too. I'm ready to go back!

I'm even more glad we went in November now. We had talked about going in February (when it's REALLY cold) but my husband's work schedule came out today and he got the wrong week off! That would have been a nightmare.

Kids should be out of school soon. Stay warm everyone!
