OFFICIAL - NON SPOILER Amazing Race: Unfinished Business Premieres 2/20/11

And I never knew that Qantas was an acronym. I love how this show is educational.:teacher:
EXACTLY my thoughts, as I used my fingers Q...a....NT....AirlineS COOL!

I thought that we always considered current episode to be okay. I love hearing your menus.
Agreed. I want to know the menu as to where they are-preferably a day before, so I can copy them

Omg Phil in his hat :lmao:
Loved his hat...so....Aussie!

and I'm guessing that the coast peoples just don't go on this thread 3 hours before it airs out there. ;)

I missed tonight's episode. I don't know yet whether or not I'll catch up online.

As far as talking about the show, I know that we discussed it as it aired last season and the one before that. I think that those on the West Coast just don't join in until it airs there.

What an exciting episode! So glad the TAR is back on tv! And for the most part I like all the teams. :thumbsup2

I just don't think it was fair or smart how some teams gave the answer to the word puzzle to other teams. This might come back and bite them in the ***.

Yes, I didn't like that. If you work together like the set of teams, ok, but it should be against the rules to tell another team the answer. I sure hope the cowboys figure it out.

I was so annoyed by that! I mean, fine, work together if you want, but don't go telling other teams the answer!! Lame. :sad2:

Yeah I agree. Especially the teams that didn't even try, they just hung around until they heard the answer. Blech.

Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Services Ltd.

I guess this will explain to my husband why there is no U in Qantas. LOL

Zev and Justin are working with FT and BE, so it was cool to see them wearing G'trotter shirts. It was great to see the guys get up there and see the other two teams just lingering around then planning on whispering the answer, instead of saying it out loud.

Kisha did a lot better in the water than I expected her to. I hope it is something that she worked on.

If Jet can get that puzzle figured out, wth Chris and Amanda not getting the Express Pass, that should help make up some time for the Cowboys.

There were some pretty unhappy faces at the pit stop mat, when Phil said keep on racing. I figured we would see one of these this season, but I sure didn't expect it on the first night. I wouldn't mind seeing one more.

I expect Jet and Cord are pretty far behind because when Kynt and Vixen were told to keep racing, Phil said something to the effect you are really behind so get moving!

Zev (Sp?) and Justin are wearing Harlem Globetrotters shirts.:rotfl:

And here I thought it was the name of the cute little koala bear :lmao:

Interesting twists to the start and end of last night's episode. Nothing like starting off the race with a U-turn right away. Will that give Cord and Jet a chance to close the gap? I'd hate to see them voted off first.

It was a lot better than a team being sent home right away for not finding the first clue.

Why didn't the cowboys read their clue better-it said to figure out the message and give it to the captain. Why did the majority of the teams stop and think they didn't need to do all the flags and get each letter. Kristie even knew she had to do all the flags.

I'm for the cowboys, but if they go, then I'm for Kristi and her dad.

Cowboys were funny at the beginning. "It's a once in a lifetime opportunity." "Again." :lmao:

I don't see the issue with teams telling other teams the answer. It's happened in past seasons. It was pretty clear that teams were only giving answers to the teams that they knew or liked. :rotfl2: It's strategic. Like Zev and Justin said about the Globetrotters, "now they owe us one".

It was kind of odd that the one team (was it Margie and Luke? then the redheads joined them?) only missed the word "between", then couldn't come up with it when they tried to guess. It was right in the middle, plus I thought it was a pretty well-known idiom.

For dinner last night we had Shearer's Mince and Potato Hot Pot. Something I found on Allrecipes, kind of like a shepard's pie but with scalloped potatoes instead of mashed.

Didn't do a dessert because we were too full from the (very heavy) dinner. I'm saving the recipe I printed for next week, since it sounds like they'll still be in Australia. Pikelets, little pancakes served with jam and whipped cream.

I'll admit I am more miffed because it affected my favorite team.

I'll bet the cowboys catch up. They are strong and athletic and always seemed to have an easy time with the physical challenges. They'll benefit from other team's misfortunes, too, Amanda and Kris having to do both detours and what the previews show of Mel and Mike.

Kind of intereting from CBS's website. In the bios, several of them were asked where they would like to go on this season. Big Easy, Flight Time, Cord, Gary, Mallory, Jamie and Vyxsin all said Australia. And right out the gate, they all got their wish.

They showed where everybody else wanted to go, except for Cara, Amanada and Chris.

I think my choice would have been Australia as well, with Ireland (Margie and Lukes pick) a close 2nd, and Scotland my 3rd spot of wanting to go to if ever running this race.

As soon as DH knew they were going to Australia and where they had to go to find their first clue, he said that I would be doing what ever that roadblock was. There is NO WAY he would have ever done that roadblock. I highly doubt he would have gotten into the boat to sail out and get the clue for the pit stop. This is why I would never pick him to do TAR with.

Watching BE and FT in the boat was great. We started laughing as soon as they showed what they had to do and said BE would flood the boat before they ever got going. But at least they didn't fully tip over like the girls. That would have been all kinds of ugly, trying to get BE back into the boat out in the middle of the water.

My fingers are crossed that the Cowboys finally get that clue, but I do agree that they are FARRRR behind. :(

Anyone else notice that KYnt is now KEnt and Vyxsin?

Great start. I haven't picked a favorite yet, there are too that I would love to see win. I'm all for helping other teams.
